"Good morning sleeping beauty."

I peeked an eye open to see Rachel sitting ontop of me staring down.

"Hmm morning. Can I go back to bed? Yea? Goodnight." I tried going back to sleep but she just woke me up again.

"Nope. It's your first day at the new school."

"I am well aware. I'm going to the lawyer at 4 so I'll be back by about 6 and I'm hoping you'll be here?"

"Yes yes. And I wanna take you out tonight but since we can't go out I'm going to cook you a fancy dinner and we can have a dinner date?"

"That sounds nice baby. Go shower first."

She went to shower while I just changed.

I went to the kitchen and made us toast and coffee because I was way too tired to make something on the stove.

I set everything up and waited for her, reading an ebook in the meantime. I love reading. I find it calming and enjoyable.

"You didn't have to make breakfast baby."

"I know but it's hardly breakfast. It's just toast and coffee."

"Ssssh. It's breakfast. You need to leave soon so I'll leave with you so you can lock up."

"Actually."

I pulled out a box that had a key to the condo.

"I want you to have this. You're always here. And I want you to have a key of your own."

"You really didn't have to. Thank you baby."

"It's only a pleasure. So I'll get going now. Lock up when you're ready and I'll see you tonight. I love you."

I kissed both her cheeks and her lips. Her soft, sweet lips.

"Goodluck baby. I love you too."

I got my bag and left, going to my Honda and starting the drive to school.

"You can do this Freya. It's only a new school. Nothing scary. You got this. I got this."

I took a deep breath in and drove the rest of the way, jamming out to bollywood tunes because for some reason they always lift my mood.

By the time I arrived at the big building I would call my school, I was in a great mood.

I walked into the office and saw a middle aged lady sitting behind a desk.

"Hi I'm Freya Adams."

"The new kid? Yes yes welcome to Hilton high. We're very excited to have you."

"Thank you Ms?"

"I'm Ms Alice. I'm the secretary here. If you need anything you come to me okay? Okay. Go on, Mrs Rose, our headmistress is waiting for you."

"Enjoy your day Ms."

"Thank you dear. You too."

I walked past her desk to the principal's office, knocking before entering.

"Come in."

I walked into a fairly large office. On the wall to my right sits a large bookcase filled with books. To my left is all files. There's a large desk and behind it a huge window with a view of the grounds.

"Morning Mrs Rose. I'm Freya Adams. The new kid."

"Morning Freya. Have a seat please."

She motioned for me to sit and I viewed her desk. There was a picture frame facing away, a laptop and papers.
