National Trick or Treat Day is celebrated each year on the last Saturday of October as an extension to Halloween after nearly 70,000 people signed a petition in 2018 wanting a longer Halloween season. It is the perfect opportunity to design the perfect costume, host spooky parties with friends and family or hold a neighbourhood trick or treat festival.
This year, for National Trick or Treat Day, Wattpad Chronicle brings you Trick or Treat Writing Prompts. The aim is to choose either Trick or Treat and try to incorporate all three prompts into one story.
Good Luck and Happy Writing!
Trick
🌟 Your friends pose a challenge, who can create the most lifelike monster. During experimentation, you realise you've made a mistake.
🌟 You and your friends are telling spooky stories around a campfire late one night. Suddenly you hear something in the woods nearby.
🌟 There's an abandoned house in your neighbourhood for as long as you can remember. Late one night, a light goes on in the attic.
Treat
🌟 Halloween is coming up and your neighbourhood is running a Costume Contest. This year, you're positive you will win.
🌟 You're in charge of organising the Halloween party for your class this year. How do you accomplish this?
🌟 Onomatopoeias are words that sound like what they mean e.g. plot, crackle. Write a story using as many onomatopoeias as possible.
