Sasuke's P.O.V
"Hey mom?" I asked looking up at her and holding her dress.
"Hm?"
"That girl...she left behind some candy." I say as I pointed to the candy that she dropped before she left.
"Oh?"
I went over and picked it up. I didn't really like sweets. "Why not go give them to her?" My mom suggested. I smile, "Okay, I'll just carry it with me until I see her again." I say and mom smiles back. "That's very nice of you Sasuke. How come you want to do that?"
"Oh well...She looks different. Did you see her eyes? Maybe she's like the Uchiha clan."
Mom tapped her chin in thought. "Yeah, maybe...Hmm, I wonder if your father or Itachi knows anything about her...."
I grab a couple of tomatoes and look at them. "Itachi, huh...?"
Tymeki's P.O.V
I take a sigh of relief as I put all the groceries into an organized fashion within the fridge and cabinets of the kitchen. "Alright now..." I said to myself and looked at the kitchen's clock. "Time to cook some dinner."
* * *
I looked at the plates I made and licked my lips. "Seems really good..." I said to myself and placed the other plate in the microwave. "I'll leave this in here for Kakashi...by the looks of things he won't be here for a bit." I grab my plate and take it to the table to eat. The food was great, I never really had a problem with cooking since my mom taught me how when I was younger. "Mmmm...." I hum to myself in delight as I finished the last bite. It was rice with gravy, Salisbury steak and broccoli. Very basic but something I could make right now. I couldn't really stock up on everything from the store due to the amount of money I had. Maybe I should start working so I can stock more food? I then frown. "Oh...I forgot that I'll only be here temporarily." I sigh. I then washed my dishes and wrote a note and placed it somewhere Kakashi could easily spot it. Basically I just let him know there was food in the microwave in case he was hungry.
...
Maybe I should put it in the fridge? How long will he be out exactly? I don't want the food to be cold from the fridge....but I don't want the food to get bad from being out too long. When cooked meat is unrefrigerated for too long, it could be bad for you to eat. I quickly scratched out "microwave" and drew an arrow to the side that pointed to the word "fridge". I then nodded to myself, satisfied with the note and placed it back where I had it in the first place. I suddenly felt a wave of drowsiness. I guess I overworked myself today... I did fall off a cliff a few days prior to now. I quickly laid myself on the floor. Too lazy to make it to the couch and fell asleep. I was exhausted.
Kakashi's P.O.V
It was pretty late when I got back home after I reported success on my mission. Once I walked inside, I noticed a small lump on the floor. I raised an eyebrow and got closer to realize it was Meki. I sigh and pick her up with ease since she was so small. Her little arm then wrapped around me and she snuggled into my chest. I was taken back a bit, feeling a warm fuzziness there. I didn't know how to describe it. Is this what being a parent feels like? I felt a small desire to protect this child for some reason. I shook the feeling off and carried her to my bed and placed her under the blanket. 'I'll just sleep on the couch until I get a better sleeping arrangement here.' I thought to myself as I made my way back to the living room and then something else caught my eye. 'A note?' I walk over to it and realize that it was left in place of the money I left behind for Meki just in case. I pick it up and read:
