The first time Jungkook woke up, he fell back asleep before he could even call out for Hoseok, who had been sitting in the room.

The second time he woke up, he could stay awake long enough to call Seokjin. But he fell asleep before Seokjin could scramble to his side.

He had been more lucid the third time. He could feel a heavy weight on his right foot. He lifted his head up, enough to see a huge cast on his right leg that ran from the base of his toes to his calf.

He could see a huge, fluffy pillow under his foot. "Hyung..." he croaked. Seokjin and Hoseok ran to him with a muffled "Jungkookie!!!"

Jungkook had to strain his ears to understand what they were saying. "I can't hear you" he finally said after a couple of minutes of trying to make out their words through the ringing in his ears.

They gaped at him for half a minute before Seokjin ran out to get a pen and a paper.

'You were in an accident. You hit your head really hard. So you are having a concussion. You will be fine, don't worry.'

Jungkook sighed after reading it. The ringing still didn't reduce. He couldn't even hear his own sigh.

"How did the accident happen?" he asked after he got fed up of watching Seokjin and Hoseok bite their lips nervously, not knowing what to do or say.

'The biker lost control of his brake. He kept yelling at you to move, but you had earphones. By the time we ran out to the yells, you and the other guy were already injured' Seokjin wrote.

"Where is he now?" Jungkook asked.

'In the same hospital. We paid for his expenses too, don't worry. He did warn you, after all' Seokjin wrote.

"How bad is he?" Jungkook asked.

'He fell on plain ground. He broke his leg too, and has small wounds on his body' Seokjin wrote.

"Me?" Jungkook asked, suddenly feeling all the sore parts on his body.

'You hit your head on a pole. So a concussion, fractured right leg and small wounds all over your body' Seokjin wrote, but Jungkook fell back asleep before he could finish writing.

The next time he woke up, the ringing wasn't that strong anymore. He found his grandparents sitting in the room with their noses buried into magazines.

"Halme" he called out, causing the two of them to whip their heads towards him.

"Kookie!!" his grandmother ran to him as he tried to sit up. He felt dizzy for a second, but he felt fine soon. "My baby, my baby" she chanted as she hugged him and carefully rubbed his back with her tiny hands.

"I'm fine, Halme-" "Shut up. You can't be fine with concussion and a broken leg" she cried loudly. Jungkook chuckled and let her fuss over him.

"I'm sorry, Harabeoji" he finally said. "Why are you sorry?" Hyungsik frowned. "For being out for two days straight and not meeting my fiance and for breaking my leg right before the marriage" Jungkook said.

"You are mad" Hyungsik mumbled. Jungkook couldn't quite catch it over the ringing in his ears. "Speak a little louder, Harabeoji" he pouted.

"The accident isn't your fault, Jungkookie. Don't blame yourself unnecessarily. We can reschedule the marriage. I already talked to Seojoon. He said he will send his grandson to the hospital to meet you tomorrow" Hyungsik said, speaking louder than necessary so that Jungkook wouldn't have unnecessary trouble.

"Ohh....okay" Jungkook said and sighed again. "But how do you know that it has been two days?" Hyungsik asked. Jungkook silently pointed to the digital calendar on the wall of the room. Hyungsik nodded.

"Why do I feel soo damn drowsy?" Jungkook asked after a minute. "That's because you have a concussion. Just sleep, Kookie. That will heal your concussion faster" Bong Soon said, running her hands through his hair.

"Okay" he mumbled and laid back on the bed. He was out before his head hit the pillow.

He woke up the next day with an almost non-existent ringing. "Where is Jin hyung?" he asked Hoseok. "He went to the company. Do you wanna talk to him?" Hoseok asked, already pulling his phone out and calling Seokjin.

"Hello?"
"Hyung!"
"Ohh, Mr. Jeon! You are awake!" Seokjin exclaimed, subtly alerting Jungkook of the presence of other employees by using professionalism.

"Yeah. Is there anything for me to do?" Jungkook asked. "Yes, sir. Just a few signatures and approvals. I am taking care of the rest of the work" Seokjin said.

"Ohh....okay. Did you look into my neighbours' info?" Jungkook asked, desperate to scout those talented brains into his company.

"Yes, sir. They have done their MBA and have passed with great scores. I have sent them a scouting request without stating the reason. I am expecting their call now" Seokjin said.

"Good. Let me know what they say and don't let them know that I am their neighbour at any cost" Jungkook said. "Okay, sir. I won't let them see my face either" Seokjin said.

"Okay, then"
"I will call and update you soon, sir"
"Okay. I will hang up, then"
"Okay, sir" Seokjin said and waited for Jungkook to hang up.

"Hyung" Jungkook called out to let Hoseok know that he was done with the call. "When can I get out of the hospital?" he asked. "Next week, Kookie. They said you had a pretty bad concussion. You are lucky that your memory isn't affected. Your fracture isn't huge. So you will have the cast for six weeks, but you can walk around using crutches after a month or so" Hoseok said.

"Ohh...... I wanna move back to Harabeoji's house" Jungkook said. "Ohh. Do you want me to move all of your stuff before you get out of the hospital?" Hoseok asked. "Yeah, please. Thank you, hyung" Jungkook said. "No problem. Do you wanna eat something? Halmeoni made bibimbap" Hoseok said, pointing to a bag on the bedside table.

"Please, please, please. I am starving" Jungkook said, placing a hand on his stomach. Hoseok chuckled and placed the box on Jungkook's lap. But before he could start eating, his phone started ringing.

"Hello?" "Mr. Jeon" Seokjin called. "Yes?"

"They agreed to work after a month. Apparently, they are on a break right now, but they are ready to cut the break short. They said they love our games and they would love to work for our company. They sounded really smug, but I guess it is just their nature"  Seokjin said.

"Right"
"Also, your grandfather called to ask me to inform you that your fiance is on his way to the hospital" Seokjin informed him.

"Ohh, really? Nice! Ohh?! I think he is here already" Jungkook said, looking at the unfamiliar figure of a man outside the translucent glass panel of his door.

"Okay, then. Talk to him. Good luck, Kookie" Seokjin said, immediately dropping his attitude.
"Thanks, hyung. Bye" Jungkook said and hung up.

Hoseok put the bibimbap back in the bag and placed it on the bedside table. He walked out of the room and talked to the man for a couple minutes before letting him in.

Jungkook sat up and set his hair a bit in the meantime so that he would look presentable in front of his fiance.

"Hello. You must be Jeon Jungkook. I am Kim Taehyung" the man said and extended his hand for a handshake with a huge, boxy smile on his face.
