"Arthit, isn't it time for you to fetch Puimek?" asks Bright, peeking his head out of the kitchen to stare at the barista who's busy cleaning the coffee machine.

Arthit glances at his watch and smacks his lips. "Right. I lost track of time."

The taller man frowns. "Just go. Wait, before you go—" trails off Bright as he disappears behind the door before reemerging with a paper bag in his hand a few seconds later. He shoves the bag at the barista's chest.

"What's this?" Arthit peers into the brown bag. "Puddings?"

"Yeah, milk puddings with rose jelly, watermelon and strawberries. I helped Tutah to make them this morning," declares Bright proudly with a happy grin. "It's for Puimek."

"Isn't this too much for my daughter?" chuckles the barista, counting the mini jars within. There are ten of them, stacked on top of each other.

The smile on the taller man's face falters before he narrows his eyes and speaks in a flat tone, "Give some to Kongpob then."

Aha, so this is what it's about.

Arthit smiles at the way his boss is trying so hard to hide his concern when it comes to Kongpob. It's becoming clearer each day that Bright does have a soft spot for his junior that he's always deemed 'annoying'. "Well... if you're worried about Kongpob, why don't you visit him—"

"I'm not worried about him. He's tougher than a cockroach, he won't die," the taller man snaps and scowls when he sees Tutah standing by the kitchen entrance, watching him with a smirk on his face. Arthit arches an eyebrow.

"Tell Kongpob that the stubborn Ai'Bright is worried about him, Arthit," purrs the patisserie chef joyfully before he ducks back into the kitchen, with the cafe's boss hot on his trail.

"I will!" promises the barista aloud, smiling as he takes off his apron to leave the shop.

Hopping onto his motorbike, it takes Arthit less than five minutes to reach the preschool and in no time, he's safely fetched Puimek back to Kongpob's house.

"Welcome home," is the first thing he hears when he steps in and as if by habit, Arthit replies back with an easy, I'm home, before he clicks his jaw shut awkwardly. Kongpob's standing by the entrance, his eyes in the shape of crescents with the way he's smiling so widely at the pair of father and daughter.

"Dada, are you okay?" quips Puimek, taking off her shoes before she runs towards the younger man to check on him.

Kongpob squats down when she tries to stretch out her tiny hand to touch his forehead. "I'm fine. I ate my medicines and took a nap."
