Before we start, I'm opening some character submissions! Your characters may: be seen in classes, the common room, the Great Hall, have a few lines of dialogue, have minor interaction with the main characters, get a small romance scene (if you include a crush for your character-not someone else's OC or any of the main Gryffindors (Weasleys, Ron, Harry, Lee, etc.) Interest in Draco, Luna, etc. is okay, but IF SOMEONE TAKES THEM I AM NOT WRITING BREAKUP SCENES SO THAT DIFFERENT CHARACTERS CAN BE WITH EACH OTHER! I am also instituting Around Hogwarts Day. Every weekend, I will include chapters with a few different scenes of any OCs or canon characters just going about Hogwarts life. The character form:

"C'mon, Harrison! You can do better than that!" It was now late August and Sami and the Weasleys were playing Quidditch. George was taunting her, and she glared at him. "Oh, hush, George! We all know half your pranks would fail without me!" Fred grinned, always up for mocking a sibling. "She's very correct, Georgie! Don't want to get on thin ice with a prank mastermind!" Ron laughed. "I just hope there isn't anybody like you two gits in my year," he grumbled, "or else I don't know how I'll survive." George grinned. "Oh, Ickle Ronniekins, we're the only ones like us in the whole world. For some reason, when he said that, Sami's mind immediately jumped to a crowd full of boys, but George was the only one she could see clearly. She shook the vision off and returned to the game.
On the platform, they found Mrs. Weasley escorting a boy about Ron's age, with unruly black hair and green eyes-and a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead. It was Harry! Bloody! Potter! He was also wearing glasses that looked as though they'd been broken one too many times, for the tape keeping them together was starting to fall off. Harry looked vulnerable and scared, and she shot a warning glare at the twins that more or less said, "Say anything, and all of Hogwarts will hear your secrets." The twins hurried onto the train in Sami's wake. Molly chuckled, shaking her head. "They're wrapped around her finger, those two are. She would have done well in Slytherin."
The year passed, with the twins, Lee, and Sami pulling new pranks and getting into all sorts of trouble. Hogwarts, to Sami, was home. She hadn't told anyone about her true heritage. You see, for though she pretended to be Muggle-born, she was from a well known, ancient wizarding family: the Harrisons. All the daughters born to the family were loyal, brave, cunning, and brilliant. For there were children of the house founders, who then married and had one child: Iduna Harrison. That was who Sami was descended from, meaning that she had the blood of each founder in her veins. She'd chosen Ravenclaw when the Sorting hat sorted her, for it had offered her a choice, since she could fit into any of the houses.
*flashback*
Hmm...interesting. Oh, you Harrisons are always quite interesting.
Sami had already been expecting this.
So, Samantha Iduna Harrison, where do you belong?
The hat had given her a choice, and she'd chosen Ravenclaw.
Ahh, yes, you'll fit right in there. Oho! Mhm, but you'll have to make an important choice one day, one concerning where you truly belong. So, are you sure?
"Yes, I am." Sami whispered. The hat called out its choice. "RAVENCLAW!" it bellowed. She'd sat down at her House table, watching the rest of her year be sorted. Two red haired twins were sorted into Gryffindor, where they joined a red headed boy that was obviously their brother. There was much approval toward these two, and she could tell that they were already well-liked. One of them looked over towards her, and their eyes caught. His chocolate brown eyes caught her green ones. He seemed familiar, as though she'd always known him. And maybe, somewhere deep down in her soul, she did.
*end of flashback*
Later that evening, she fell asleep reading in her bed and had an...unusual dream. In it, George was holding her hand as they strolled along the lake shore. They came into the light of the moon and George kissed her. He was about to do it again, when an explosion ripped him away. Suddenly, all her family and friends were fighting masked assailants-and losing. George was the last to die, killed by her own Imperiused arm. A cold voice filled her ear. "So, Samantha Iduna Harrison, and yes, I know who you are, how did you like that little glimpse of your future? There's a way it could be changed, but you could never do it." Sami woke up in a cold sweat, her pillow a mess of tears. The girls in her dorm were looking at her with concern. "Sami?" asked one. "We came in and found you crying in your sleep." said another. George, Sami thought. He'll make me feel better.
After getting George's whereabouts from another student and assuring her dorm mates that she was fine, just a bad dream, really. He was alone in the Owlrey, making him feel easier to approach. As much as she loved Fred and Lee, George was truly her best friend. He saw her, pale and shaking, and ran to embrace her. "What's wrong, Sami?" he asked in a concerned tone. Stuttering, she spilled out the contents of her dream. (Leaving out the very beginning bit, the one where they kissed and such. That bit.) Watching her, George's heart broke a little bit at seeing her so...so...so...broken. She always tried to be so strong, but now she wasn't. And she'd come to him to tell him. He wrapped her in a hug, whispering calming words to her. Her crying slowed, then came to a stop. "T-thanks, George," she said. He smiled at her. "Anytime. You're one of the biggest parts of my life, and I'd do anything for you. Anything. You are my world."

EEK! It's happening! A bit earlier than I originally said, but I couldn't wait. In the next chapter or two Year 4 will start (year 2 for the golden trio) and allllll sorts of drama will happen. Submit those characters. See ya next time, bookworms!
