Welcome back, and my apologies for not updating for a week. It's been a bit crazy around here what with moving my grandma and some other stuff.

Sami still found herself a bit unable to believe it. She was dating George Weasley. George freaking Weasley. In the evenings, she and George would share an armchair by the fire and alternately cuddle and snog while their friends laughed at them. Being in Ravenclaw at the beginning of the year, Sami had signed up for many different subjects: Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Runes, and the usual Charms, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her schedule was packed, and would remain so next year, her OWL year. After that, though, she could drop some of them and pick what she wanted to focus on. She wanted to be an Auror, so she would have to get an E or O in Charms, Herbology, Transfiguration, Potions, and DADA.

On her way out of Divination one day, Professor Trelawney stopped her. She'd never singled Sami out for much, so this was new. "Samantha!" she said in her dreamy voice. She started speaking, but she interrupted herself in a voice that was not her own.

"What the Dark Lord wants the Dark Lord will try to get

The witch with untold power

Killing all in his way

Until she bows to his rage

Twisted and bent by hate and fury

Beware the end to come to this one

The other chosen instrument to his rise

Beware the darkness hidden inside

And though she may think she is who she is not

Old bonds she was made to forget

Shall be pulled up to the surface

The world in her hands"

Then she shook her head and blinked. "Oh, dear me! I must have spaced out for a moment. Anyways, Samantha, you are free to go. Sami left, puzzling out the prophecy that had just been made to her.

Summer holidays arrived, and Gryffindor won the House Cup. Sami piled onto the Hogwarts Express with her friends. Hermione came directly to the Weasleys' with Sami, Fred, George, Ron, Ginny, and Percy. Harry had to go to his aunt and uncle's house for a few weeks, then he could come to the Burrow.

When booklists were sent out, Sami learned that she had been made a prefect. Fred groaned. "There go our pranking days, Georgie. Now your girlfriend's a prefect!" Sami smirked. "Yep! And put one toe out of line, and there'll be detention in your future..." she teased. George gasped in mock horror. "No! Sam, you wouldn't dare!" "Sure I would." Fred grinned. "We'll just have to be more careful."

On the train, the Gryffindors were all chatting, when a chill swept through the compartment. George held Sami close. Dementors entered the train, looking for Sirius Black, recent Azkaban escapee. A man burst in, casting a silver spell and telling the dementors to leave. "Everyone all right?" he asked. "I'm Professor Lupin, your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." His gaze landed on Sami for a fraction of a second, and a peculiar expression crossed his face for that fraction of a second. If you blinked, you would miss it. Sami was confused by his gaze. Who was he, and why was he looking at her like that? And why did she feel as if she knew him?
