Alright  y'all probably hate me from being gone for so long, but here. I have finally picked this book up again. I have been trying to find a way to end this, as I'm not into writing this story as much anymore. Then you will all have an ending. Thank you for keeping with me through writing this book. I'm sorry to break it to you, but this will be the last chapter. I hope you enjoy it!

"Candor," Evelyn responds after a long moment of silence.

"How long are you going to keep us in here?" Marcus asks.

Evelyn sighs. "You are free to go if you so choose. Everyone except Jeanine."

"What do you mean we're free?! For how long?!" The room bursts into a loud chatter. Jeanine shushes everyone and they shut up, almost as if she was a teacher in a classroom.

"Do you mean it?" Four questions. Evelyn nods.

Almost everyone in the group stands up and moves towards the door except for Nova and Jeanine. The group files out.

Evelyn looks between the two before her eyes settle on Nova. "You can go..."

Nova looks reluctant but finally leaves too. She rejoins a group of Dauntless who were now discussing amongst themselves the events of the past two days. They were half way down the hallway when a gunshot rang out.

"Is that...?" Four starts.

Cat cuts him off.  "Jeanine?" The two had oddly grown to like her a bit more than they had before, and seemed to care slightly.

The group slowly makes their way back. When they get there, Jeanine is lying on the floor dead, and Evelyn is standing over her, a gun in hand.

Nova runs to Jeanine's limp body and holds it close to her. "Mom?" She asks frantically, as if trying to wake her up.

She then sets Jeanine down gently before turning to Evelyn, her expression had turned to one of rage. "How could you?!" She yells. Uriah grabs her so she doesn't go after Evelyn. He pulls her out of the room and Four, Tris, Cat, and Eric follow.

"I did what I had to do." Evelyn whispers.

Sorry it's kind of short. I hope you don't think this chapter is as sad as I do.
