"Psssst, Aphrodite come here!" whispered Leo who was wearing a fake moustache. "What? Leo is that you?" Aphrodite asked confused. "Shhhhhh keep it down, I'm under disguise." hissed Leo. " I need you for a dare and it might just make life on Mount Olympus a bit more... Interesting," Leo said as he pulled Aphrodite along. "Alright then, anything to make life on mount Olympus more interesting," Aphrodite said as she followed Leo behind a wall.
It was the annual Summer Solstice. While everyone else was busy partying, Percy, Leo, Piper and Frank had planned a prank on Jason which might require Aphrodite. "So do you all wanna explain what is happening or not?" asked Aphrodite. "We are going to prank Jason by making Jason fall in love with a stapler and a brick. We decided not to tag Hazel along as she is too nice and we asked Annabeth to join but she just rolled her eyes and muttered something about us being very naive. We need him to love the brick or stapler so much to even propose to them." Percy said excitedly. Aphrodite burst into laughter earning "shhhhs" from them "Oh, I am so gonna be part of this! So when is Jason supposed to fall in love" Aphrodite asked. "Anytime starting from today till next week Friday," Frank said. "Alright then, might as well do it today." and with that, Aphrodite left in a fit of giggles. " Who knew it would be that easy?" Leo shrugged as he Hi-fived Percy, Frank and Piper.
Jason pov:
I was walking around the main area of mount Olympus. I was just walking around talking to some people when I saw Leo in a moustache, dragging Aphrodite behind a wall. After a while, I saw Percy, Frank, Piper, Leo and Aphrodite come out from behind the wall. Piper approached me and said, " I need to go to the bathroom for a while mind holding this for me?" as she handed me her drink. I nodded as I watched her go. She was so pretty and graceful, I am so lucky to have her as a girlfriend. Just then, I felt something like an arrow on my back. I looked around and saw no one but a brick and a stapler. Woah... they looked so nice. I don't know why but I think I am falling head over heels for them and at that moment, I totally forgot about Piper.
Piper pov:
I was walking back to Jason when I saw him staring mesmerised by a stapler and a brick that I didn't remember seeing Leo put over there. I acted confused to play along with the prank. I went up to Jason and he snapped out of some trance flustered looking as he said," Oh hi Piper, I didn't see you there." I looked at him "confused" as I took my cup back. Throughout the rest of the day, Jason could not keep his eyes away from the brick and the stapler. Hehe, the plan was working!
Jason pov:
Ever since that moment I saw the brick and the stapler, I just could not stop thinking about them and staring. Even after I returned to my cabin at Camp Half-Blood, I could not stop thinking about them. I sighed. Everything about them was just so perfect, their colour, their texture, the way they looked (*cough* yeah right) back at me, it was just so perfect. I yawned as I fell asleep.
[Time skip, the next day]
I yawned sleepily as I stumbled out of bed. When I finished brushing my teeth and changing, I went out to eat breakfast. When I reached my table, I was shocked to find a note from the brick from yesterday! I could not believe my eyes!

"Jason!~" sang Piper as she made her way up to me. I saw her and immediately hid the note in my pocket. "Jason, you remember you said that you would go on a picnic with me by the lake this afternoon?" Holy Hera! I totally forgot the promise I made to Piper a few weeks back! What was I going to do now? I just played along, nodded and said," Of course I did! How could I not!" She just looked at me happily and skipped back to the Aphrodite table. " So, Jason, who you gonna choose?" said Leo who was somehow just behind me right now. "Wait what? You saw the note," I asked, he nodded, " who am I going to choose then Leo? I can't choose!" I whined. Leo just sniggered, called Percy and Frank over to ask them which team, Brick or Piper. To my surprise, they all said team, Brick. I thought they would be supporting team Piper as we were all friends I was about to ask them why but Frank just shushed me and told me to go tell Piper, though I swear, I saw Percy and Piper wink at each other. I swallowed and approached Piper. "Um... sorry Piper, I know I promised that I would go on a picnic with you but... I'm gonna be busy today... so um... yeah... I can't go on a picnic with you..." I whispered out the last few words. Her face fell as she said that it was fine and that I should go do what I needed to do. I hugged her as I walked to my cabin. I could not believe it! Piper let me be! Usually, she would say that there was no excuse and I had to go but today, she didn't! I was quite happy though I kinda felt sorry for Piper.
Piper's pov:
I approached Jason and when he saw me, he kept the note that my mom wrote. I giggled as I sang out his name. I reminded him that we had a date planned this afternoon, which was actually part of the grand plan of this plan! Who knew that when it came to pranks and all, Leo could plan far ahead. He looked genuinely shocked as he nodded and said that he remembered. I just played along and smiled happily at him while skipping back to the Aphrodite table. Back at the table, I saw Jason talking to the boys and Percy winked at me and I winked back at him. I think Jason saw. After a bit of convincing, he approached me as he told me that he could not go on a picnic with me as he was "busy". I just acted sadly and nodded quietly as I told him that it was fine and that he could go do whatever he needed to do. He then hugged me as he walked back to his cabin. To be honest, I felt a bit sad that we actually couldn't go on a date together but oh well, the prank gotta go on. I shrugged as I walked up to Leo, Percy and Frank to plan the next step of the plan.
