The Alpha is my Mate

Chapter 7

Lillian's POV
~In coma~

I remember everything.

My parents, the Alpha and Luna. They were smiling and happy. I was only 4 years old then.

We were out in a little meadow having a picnic. We were a happy family.

"Mommy look a butterfly!" Little me shouted and pointed.

She laughed. "Go get it."

I got up, running after the blue and black butterfly while giggling.

"Mommy, how do you know who your mate is?" I ask.

"Well, you would feel sparks when you touch. They will have a distinctive smell that only you can smell. You will have an inexplicable urge to be near them. You will just know sweetie. One day you will get to experience it too." I smile at my mom, knowing she was talking about my dad.

"Goodnight." I yawn.

"Goodnight sweetie."

"Lillian this is the Alpha and Luna of the Blue Moon pack, and this is their son, Alexander." My dad says introducing us.

"Why don't you and Alexander go play over there." He points to a spot in the woods. I knew my dad was doing business, so I didn't mind.

Alexander touched me on the shoulder, sending tingles down my arm. But not paying any mind to it.

"I'll race you." He grins and darts away.

"That's not fair." I shout, taking off after him.

We were having fun chasing after each other, but  then suddenly Alex was pulling me behind a big, old oak tree.

"Alex, what are you doing?" I looked up at him. I could see he was terrified.

I followed his gaze to where her parents were. They were being attacked. But Xavier in our warriors.

"Mom, dad!" I shout, but Alex grabbed me and covered my mouth.

"You have to be quiet." He whispered in my ear.

I saw my parents fall to the ground  unmoving. I slipped out of Alex's grasp and started to run  to them.

"Lillian, no!" He reached to grab me again, but I dodged and continue to run.

I reached my parents and fell to the ground.

"Mom, dad." I sobbed.

" She's been out for a week. How much longer is she going to be out for?"

Whoever was speaking didn't sound very happy, but his voice was very captivating.

"I don't know Alpha. It could take up to a month or longer, but it's up to her to wake up. There's nothing else we can do."

I heard footsteps recede and  a door shut. But one  word stuck in my head, Alpha. Why would an Alpha be here? I slowly started to pry my eyes open but snap them closed again when I see a bright light.

"T-too bright." I mumble, but not even sure if there is still someone in the room.

I start to open my eyes again and noticed the room was dark.

"Can I have some water, please?" I mumble with a scratchy throat.

I try not to make eye contact with this intoxicating and alluring man as he hands me a glass of water.

I gasp when I feel the shocks as his hand brushes mine.

"Thank you ..." I let my sentence drift off because I don't know his name.

It takes him a minute to respond with a cute confused look on his face.

"Alexander, but you can call me Alex." He gives me a small smile.

"Thank you Alex." I say, like in the way his name rose off my tongue. "My name is Lillian."

I blush as he repeats it to himself. He says my name as if it is a mystery to him, but loves it anyways.

"Where am I?" I ask him as I look around a doctor's room.

"At my pack doctor's hospital." Alex says.

"What happened?"

I already knew what happened, but it was still so shocking. My whole life was a lie until now. Alpha Xavier is going to pay.
