Emma's POV

I smelt him before I saw him. His delicious smell of rain and coconut was enough to leave me dizzy with need.

"Mate!" My wolf Cinder screamed.

Her tail was waging and she was panting, we were happy and excited to finally have our mate.

"Why did you stop?" Lillian questioned me through the mind link.

I was so caught up in my thoughts and in the excitement of finding my mate that I almost didn't hear her, let alone answer her.

"Mate." Was all I told her.

I heard him growl and snapped my head to the left. His wolf was beautiful, it was a light caramel color with green speckled gold eyes. He was breathtaking. He shifted to his human form causing me to blush and look away. He went to put shirts on and came back.

"Shift." He commanded.

"Emma, we shouldn't." My brother and Lillian said through the mind link.

But when I looked at my mate I couldn't resist. I went behind a tree and shifted.

Samuel's POV

I couldn't let her escape me again. I have to meet her, I knew she could smell me. Her wolf was so beautiful, her dark brown fur and her light blue eyes. I knew I shouldn't be going against my Alpha, but she was my mate and she made me want to sin.

"Shift." I commanded.

I didn't think the two wolves with my mate would shift, but I hoped she would. And then she did. She had light brown curly hair with amber eyes.

"What's your name?" I ask, making her blush.

"Emma." She whispered.

"Hi Emma, I'm Samuel." I shift my gaze from Emma to her companions, who have shifted to their human forms.

Lillian's POV

I shifted to my human form and got clothes, I stood there watching Emma and Samuel stare at each other.

"Okay love birds," I say, making Emma blush some more. "What pack are you from Samuel?" I question.

"The blue Moon pack." He says, not taking his eyes from Emma.

I gasp. "We need to get there, will you take us?" I plead.

Before he could answer, Alpha Xavier comes out from behind a tree with a few pack warriors.

"Well well, what do we have here?" Alpha Xavier chuckles menacingly. "I don't think you're going anywhere, traitors."

I stare at him in disbelief. How could he have known where we were? That's when I saw Luke standing at the back of the warriors. Of course it was him, always making my life hell. The only question is how did he know?

"Samuel, run." I whisper.

He looks at Emma hesitantly, not wanting to leave his mate behind. Emma shakes her head for him to run, giving one last loving look at him before he turns and disappears into the woods. If Xavier caught him, he would have him killed.

"After him, don't let him get away!" Alpha Xavier shouts. Sending three warriors after Samuel, he turns to us.

"And for you three, the dungeon." He nods his head at the remaining warriors, who grab us and drag us the rest of the way home and to the dungeon.

The dungeon was dark and mucky, we could smell rotting flesh as we passed cells. They locked us in silver chains that were welded to the wall, they put me and Emma in the same cell and Liam was in the cell next to us. I could feel the silver searing into my wrists, the pain was already starting to cloud my judgment.

"We have to get out of here." I mumble.

"Yeah, but how are we going to do that?" Liam says defeated.

I was about to reassure them that we would be fine and we'll come up with a plan, but then we heard footsteps coming down the dungeon stairs.

"Alpha." We hear the guard say in salute.

"Ah, you three are always up to something, but we couldn't let you go around snooping without consequences." Xavier says, tsking in front of our cells.

He turns back to the guard. "Don't give them food and water. We don't need it wasted on those who will be executed tonight." He says with a wicked fling in his eyes.

"Wait what. You can't execute us!" I shout , but he was already gone. He has never done an execution because someone was snooping. There was something he doesn't want us to know or find.

We really need to get out of here. I sink down against the wall feeling defeated, but needs to come up with a plan, but all I could think about was the pain.

The next thing I know I'm waking up. My wrists have begun to blister and my skin was starting to break and shrivel. I couldn't tell what time it was, but knew it was closer to night and we needed to figure a way out.

"Emma, Liam, wake up." I whisper shout.

They jerk awake, wincing in pain from the chains. They both looked so drained, that it hurt me because it was my fault they were in this mess, possibly going to get executed.

"This wasn't a nightmare." Liam says shaking his head.

"We have to come up with an escape plan. Do you guys have any ideas?" I ask.

"As long as we are in these chains, we can't do anything." Emma says with tears forming in her eyes.

I could tell she was thinking about Samuel and how little time they have had, kind of just like five minutes of meeting. Liam and I won't get to know our mates. I could tell myself getting weaker.

"Maybe when they take us to get executed, they will think we are too weak and take the chains off." Liam suggests.

"I don't think that will work." Emma says, losing her hope.

We all went silent. We could hear people running and shouting above us. We look at each other wondering what's going on. We heard more footsteps, but this time they were coming down the stairs.

"What are—" A guard gets cut off and we hear his body drop.

"Samuel." Emma whispers.

My head shot up, what was Samuel doing here, they'll kill him.

"You didn't think I would leave you, did you?" Samuel says to Emma. She smiles in response, while he starts unchaining us.

"Samuel, how did you get here and why didn't they kill you? No offense." I ask, glad he was here to help us, but also confused.

"I didn't come here alone." He says grimly.

He sounds like he wants to kill a lot of people, I don't blame him. They locked up his mate and was going to execute her.

"Who did you bring?" I look around as if more people were going to appear.

"My Alpha and my pack."
