Alexander's POV

"Alex!" I hear Samuel yell when he throws my office door open. When I see him I could tell something was wrong, he looked very disheveled. I was about to ask him what was wrong, but then I smelt a faint scent of vanilla and strawberries.

"Mate!" My wolf Remus yelled.

"Where?" I question. "Cause it sure ain't Sam." Was it possible that Samuel was with my mate?

"Who were you with, Samuel?" I say with clenched teeth, trying to keep my wolf under control.

"My mate and her friends, Alpha." He says cowering away. "Alpha Xavier took them to his dungeon." He looks at me with worry in his eyes.

My mate was in the Silver Blood pack. She can't be. The Moon Goddess wouldn't be that cruel.

"That's none of our concern Samuel. That's the pack that killed my parents."

I could tell Remus wasn't happy with what I was saying. He was growing at me, I ignored him.

"Alex, how could you say that? That's my mate he locked up, doing God knows what to her! What if it was your mate locked up? Would you just leave her?" I could hear the desperation in his voice. He wanted to protect her, which I understood.

"She is." I whisper.

His face filled with shock and rage.

"So you're going to let Xavier kill her!" He shouts. "He will kill my Luna."

"Her pack killed my parents. I will never forget that." I shout back, but he wasn't backing down.

"She is your mate, my Luna. I will not let my mate or her die. They didn't have anything to do with their deaths, they would have been too young."

He was right, I didn't even know exactly who killed them.

"You're blinded by your revenge. Your parents didn't raise you to be like this. Do you truly think they would be proud of you if you let your mate die?" He storms out of the room without waiting for an answer.

He was right, of course he was right. That's why he is my beta and lead warrior. He understands me, isn't afraid to challenge me, and helps me see straight when I get blinded. I couldn't let my mate die, I've been waiting for her for five years. I couldn't lose her now when I don't even know her.

"I want all warriors in the pack house in 15 minutes." I mind link to the pack.

After a few hours of planning, we were ready. The Silver Blood pack will get what they deserve.

It didn't take us long to get their territory. When we got there, it seemed too easy to walk right in.

"It doesn't look like they have anyone guarding their borders." Noah, my delta, says running up to me.

"Well it'll make it easier for us, though it almost seems too easy, so be on your guard." I tell them as I step into the Silver Blood territory.

The Silver Blood pack didn't see us coming. They were scrambling in and out of houses and setting things up for what looks like an execution. That didn't sit well with me or my wolf.

We charged into their pack site, once they realized they were under attack all hell broke loose.

I looked around for Xavier and found him pinning Samuel down, about to go for the killing bite. Luckily, Noah knocks into Xavier just enough for Samuel to get up.

"Noah, Samuel, go find your Luna." I commanded through mind link. "I'll deal with him."

Noah and Samuel took off. My wolf was ready to tear Xavier apart, but I was looking forward to this fight. I had the advantage of my wolf being bigger than his.

Xavier lunged at me, I dodged to the right and bit into his flank. He howled in pain and whipped around to retaliate. He snapped his jaws in my face and then lunged for my front paw, sinking his teeth into my black fur.

I yelped and jumped on him, pining him down. That's when I smelt it, the scent of my mate. Her scent distracted me, in that distraction Alpha Xavier was able to throw me off and get up. He went for my neck when a flash of brown fur charge into him. I knew it was my mate.

He started backing up when he noticed he was out number. A few log his warriors stepped in front of him, protecting him from us. He shifted to human.

"You guys are just as pathetic as your parents. At least they were easier to kill then you guys will be." He shouted.

I froze in place.

"Lillian, NO!" Someone shouted.

I saw my mate lunge at him and his warriors jump on her.

I snarled and raced to her, throwing warriors off her. By the time I got to her, she was limp and covered in blood.

Lillian's POV

When we all got out of the dungeon, we found the pack in chaos. Wolves were fighting everywhere, but then I smelt something different. I smelt the most amazing smell of chocolate and mint.

I looked for the source of the smell and locked eyes with a blue eyed wolf pinning Alpha Xavier down. I distracted him and Alpha Xavier was able to get up and lunge at my mate.

I shifted into my wolf and ran at Xavier, pushing him out of the way. He started backing up, noticing that he couldn't fight both of us. His beta, Trevor, and his son Luke, came to stand in between us. Alpha Xavier shifted to his human form.

"You guys are just as pathetic as your parents. At least they were easier to kill then you guys will be." He shouted.

My wolf and I shook with rage.

"He lied to us, it wasn't rogues that killed them. It was him." Sage yelled.

She took control and lunged at Alpha Xavier. Trevor and Luke jumped on us before we could get to Xavier.

They got a few good punches on me before they were pulled off of me. I passed out to people yelling my name.
