"Sreshtha! Come down sweetie, how long will you take to get ready?"

I could hear my aunt shouting from downstairs. With every passing moment i was getting distressed with this entire situation. I was already dressed up in my traditional saree, adorned with gold jewelery, ready to go down, but couldnt gather enough courage to do so.

The drawing room was filled with chattering of people, dressed in glittering traditional clothes, mostly women, aunts, close relatives. Today was the day of my wedding. And i have never felt this dreaded before. I was almost at the state of panick until the door of my room burst open breaking me off of my trance.

"Mom.."

" Dont disrespect me, would you atleast try to keep my reputation? Come down, fast!"

I flinched as she slammed the door at my face in pure fury and went downstairs. The moment her footsteps fainted across the hallway, i slid onto the ground in agony, trying to think as straight as possible. i cant even cry at this point.

Sucking up my courage, i decided to finally leave the room. I knew it is just not worth it. Even if i sit here and hide in my room, that wont make any miracle come true. No one can save me. Not even God.

I sighed as my lips curled up to a fake smile as relatives started approaching me. It was the Haldi ceremony. It will start within 30 minutes. i could smell the faint turmeric paste placed over the centre table in a far corner.

"Hey? why do you look so gloomy sis? you seem like you are in a funeral, cheer up, its your damn marriage"

i looked up at my cousin with a straight face as i shoved her out of my face and shooed her away from me. This entire thing is already so stressful and being the cherry on top these relatives flogging around me as i am a show piece in the middle of the room.

I could feel the dagger like glares coming from my mother in the far corner as she discreetly commanded me to behave properly in front of the guests.

The disheartening feeling began to sink in as I watched the gifts from my fiance's house. In all this daze the realization struck me, I am finally letting go of you Jeon Jungkook..

Stay happy.

I didn't anticipate how tears began trickle down my face. I am supposed to smile, to be happy..

Or at least act like one happy bride on her bridal morning.

I hastily wiped the tears to avoid any noticeable smudge on my face when I saw my cousin running up to me again.
I mentally rolled my eyes at her clinginess.

" Now what do you want?"

I asked her with a distinct annoyed tone.

"Sis, there are seven weirdly dressed men were wondering around the lawn premises, when inquired, they said they are looking for you. They were indeed speaking n a weird language but not gonna lie, they are all very good looki-"

Before she could continue rambling I picked up a handful of the fabric of my saree and ran across the hallway to my lawn barefoot ignoring all the guests.

It can't be, I did give them invitation but didn't expect them to actually come?! Shit shit...

I stood in the crowded lawn which was in the process of decoration while my eyes were desperately searching for them. If the description my cousin gave is true, it had to be them.
