The man who operates the boat handed me a letter before leaving me on an island. I walked further only to see a bungalow house. Maybe Lawrence was there. But before I came close to the house, someone I didn't expect went out of it.
"Flowers to the only woman whom I want to marry."
He is wearing Baekhyun's mask. Although his face is covered with Baekhyun's, I can still recognize this man whom I trusted for a long time. It was Sir Henry.
"W-why are you here, Sir Henry?" I asked.
The last time I saw him was when Baekhyun saw him hugging me. After that incident with Baekhyun and his wife, I never saw him again. Also his wife.
His wife suddenly stopped lurking around me. She stopped going to places where I go, she stopped camping outside my house and even stopped texting and threatening me.
Sir Henry did not answer my question but handed me the flowers.
What's going on? I thought this was Lawrence's surprise to me? But why is Sir Henry here?
"Why are you here?" I asked one more time without even bothering to get the flowers that he's handing me.
He sighed.
"Please... I know that you are mad. I understand... We ruined your life." The old man said.
"What do you want? Who told you that I am here? Who are you with?" I asked in hysterics.
My tears are threatening to come out from my eyes. My heart skipped a beat when I saw an old woman come out from the hut. My eyes went wide and my heart sank to my stomach. In reflex, my right foot stepped backward. I wanna run away, far from my past. Far from these two who robbed my sweet life away from me.
She stood next to her husband as her eyes never left me. This is the woman who ruined everything. And I freaking fear their presence. They are nightmares from the past that I am trying not to look back to.
I took another step back. When I was about to take another step back, Sir Henry reached for my arm.
"We just want to talk to you. Please calm down."
I looked at the whole place. Oh well, the only people I can see from where I am, is this couple. There are no tourists, no lifeguard et cetera.
I calmed down a bit when I thought that Lawrence will never bring these people here if they will bring anxiety to me.
He then leads us to an open hut cottage near the shore. I am sitting across the couple at the other side of the table. I can't even look at them. I still fear their presence.
I can no longer take this. So I stood up and ready to run away.
"Please don't go... We are not here to do harm to anyone. We are here to..."
"Apologize." Mrs. Ramirez said in a low voice.
I stopped for a while. Did I hear it right? She's apologizing to me?
"For everything. I... I was blinded by anger when I learned that my husband has been attracted to a young woman. He's not trying to cheat on me because he kept it to himself for quite some time, but the fact that he's looking into other women outside our marriage hurts me the most..." She said and burst into tears.
I slowly sat with shock still evident on my face. Why is this fierce woman apologizing and crying in front of me? Did Lawrence do something for her to apologize? Did he threaten them? Is this his surprise?
"I was so afraid of losing the man I love that I did not see that I already lost him in the process, after I lost myself. I always mock him in front of our grown-ups, thinking that he just deserved it. But when he was fed up with me, he left home. That was when I lost my shit and pointed all of my anger at you. And I was furious when I learned how happy you are. I thought that I should at least make you miserable as well."
