The new relation ship

Today was Friday not only was I exhausted but I was excited for my birth day which was this Saturday. My mamma and tanner don't do much. We just get a cake and sing our old favourite songs.

The teacher called on my name and I snapped out of my thoughts.
She motioned her hand for me to come up to stand at the front.

I was in visual arts/music class and we had a singing project today. I guess I wouldn't say project just an experiment for people who know songs and can hit the right notes.

I stand at the front of the class and looked at the back of the room where Scott sits...
My face reddens and butterflies start to go berserk in my stomach.

"What song will you be singing miss.Kathleen?!" She sat back in her chair and crossed her arms.
"A-team by Ed Sheeran" I got a few nods and smirks around the room as I took a deep breath in.

"White lips, pale face"
"Breathing in the snow flakes"
"Burnt lungs salt taste"
"Lights gone day's end"
"Struggling to pay rent"
"Long nights strange men"
"And they say she's in the class a team stuck in her day dreams been this way since eighteen but lately her face seems slowly sinking waiting crumbling like pastries and they scream the worse things in life come free to us"

I was sitting in math class and I felt some thing hit the back of my head as I was taking notes. I jumped startled and turned to my side to see a piece of crumpled paper that hat my name written on a corner that was sticking out in big bold purple lettering.

"Hey Kay, meet me at the park by your house at 5:00pm and bring Koop-aid jammers"

That's all the note said.
Um...who through this and what does it mean?!

I met Tanner at the gate in front of the school gave him a quick hug and we started our walk.
"So...how was school today?" I asked
"Good, Jaxen brought his soccer ball so we played soccer at recess" he smirked
"Awesome, did u kick their butts?"
Tanner let out a laugh and nodded:
"Hey, do u know if we have any kool-aid jammers?" I asked him raising an eyebrow
He looked at me in confusion but he did an open close thing with his mouth then looked forward.
"I think so...why do u ask?!" He was curious I could tell.
"Because I like Kool-aid jammers!" I laughed then he Burt out laughing.

We reached our house and I walked up to my room.
I opened the door and plopped my bag down.
So...I'm going to the park with a beach, it's hot, gonna be sun set, gonna have Kool-aid...what should I wear?!
"TANNEEEEEEER" I yelled down.
I heard foot steps coming down the hall and the door swung open.
"What?" He giggled
"I need help..." I sat on the floor and stared at my closet.
He came and sat beside me.
"Date?" He sighed
"I honesty do not know I was told to meet this guy at the beech but it was a note thrown at me in math class." I let out another loud sigh
"Then don't get 'fancied' up just be casual...A guy likes a girl who doesn't go over the top for small things and if he doesn't like u in jean short shorts and a hoodie than he isn't worth it." Tanner rubbed my back and I let out a laugh.
He stood up and went into the closet pulling out my light blue short shorts with studded on the front and my grey Baggie Pennsylvania collage hoodie that my dad left behind.
Tanner walked over to the bed and sat down at the edge and waited until I was done putting on the out fit.
"I'm doing your hair by the way" Tanner laughed
We walked into my bathroom and I sat on the toilet while he did my hair.
Fifteen minutes past and Tanner clapped his hands once and loudly.
"Done!" He exclaimed and got up and went over to the mirror.
My hair was in a messy Elsa braid in a high pony tail with a red bandana knotted up.
I gave tan a hug and thanked him.
I ran don stairs with Tanner fallowing me and I went in the kitchen and sat down beside mamma.
"Honey u look beautiful who did this?!" She laughed
"Tanner did my hair and picked out my out fit" I smiled
"You are very pretty. Do u have a date or some thing? A casual one since you're not dulled up?!" She smiled back.
"She has a secret date tonight!" Tanner crossed his arms and leaned back in the skinny chair.
"A secret date?" Mamma asked as her eye Browns raised.
"She doesn't know who he is..." Tanner giggled
"Well then where are you going?" Mamma asked
"Just the beach at the end of the road." I explained.
"Okay." She got up from her seat to make some coffee.
I got up from my seat to get the kook-aid from the pantry beside the fridge and my mom shot me a confused look.
"Don't ask" I muttered not turning towards her.
