7. Movies And Confessions

Melody's POV

Weeks went by and Xander and I had seem to have fallen into a routine. I always bring him coffee at nine and we have random conversations.  I think his employees are getting suspicious since they've figured out I come to see Xander everyday and he always escorts me to his driver who takes me back to the coffee shop. Oh and not to forget that he always makes sure to give me a kiss on the forehead before getting into the car which doesn't go unnoticed by his employees.

As time went on Xander became apart of me and we were closer than ever.I would sometimes catch him staring at me with an unknown emotion in his eyes but I would simply brush it off.

Xander always finds an opportunity to take me out whenever I'm free.

I won't lie I have developed a crush on him and I don't think it's anything major.

He's also gotten closer to Tommy and takes him out on Saturdays .I sometimes join them but I usually stay at back to clean up the apartment since it's much easier to clean up without Tommy around.

Xander being Xander always makes sure to buy a gift for Tommy each time they go out even though I protested against it.

Did I forget to mention that Xander always picks me up from work even when I close early or late? I'm starting to get suspicious .He probably has someone informing him about my whereabouts. That man is fudging overprotective.He glares at every male that stares at me for too long when we go out. Way to ruin my chance of getting a boyfriend. Whenever I ask he claims those men were eye raping me and they just want to get in my pants but I think there's more to that.

If you're wondering what I'm doing currently ,  well I'm sitting on Xander's lap as we cuddle while watching my all time favorite "Birds Of Prey". Harley Queen is so cool. To think of it I feel like villain movies are way better than superhero movies .Like I freaking love Harley Queen's personality.

I think I'm going a bit off topic.

I bet you all are wondering why the fudge I'm sitting on Xander's lap and where the fudge is Tommy. Well Tommy is having a sleepover at Maria's house with Maria's nephew since he wanted to spend his Saturday night playing with Maria's nephew, Nick.

Initially I sat next to Xander at the start of the movie but Xander had other plans when he lifted me of the couch and placed me on his lap claiming it was much more fun to cuddle and watch a movie.He's also been constantly kissing my neck which makes me blush everytime and I don't really complain since it really feels nice. 

I've never have a male friend before so I think this is normal between a girl and her male friend. Or else Xander wouldn't do it, right?

The movie had just ended and Xander continues to hold me tight not planning to let me go anytime soon.

"Xanderrrr, I need to put the next movie on you need to let me gooooo."

After much pleading Xander let me go. After putting the movie on,I made my way to sit on the couch but Xander had other plans when he pulled me onto his lap so I was straddling him.

He stared me with an emotion in his eyes which I couldn't put my hand on.

"Can I kiss you?" he said while staring at my lips.

"Xander I don't think friends do that." I said and bit my lip  which made his eyes darken.

"What if I want us to be more than friends?" he whispered

"Xander I-" I was cut off by Xander's lips claiming mine  in a slow but sweet kiss.

Alexander freaking King is kissing me . And he just stole my first kiss.

I closed my eyes and moved my lips slowly since I didn't have any experience in kissing.

I felt like I was on cloud nine . Xander pinched my waist causing me to gasp which he  used as an opportunity to slip his tongue in to my mouth . Finally we pulled apart to catch our breath.

"You don't know how long I've waited to do this." he said while pecking my lips.

Blushing, I looked down but Xander had other plans when he lifted my chin making me stare into his eyes.

" Mel, I think it's time I tell you this. I've been crazy about you ever since I met you. I was so blown away by your beauty the first time I saw you and I was even more  amazed by how much of an amazing person you are . I always wanted to pursue you but I wanted to take things slow with you since you're special to me. It's been hard just being your friend when I want to tell you how much I like you everytime I see you. When I found out about Tommy I was  even more encouraged to make you mine and treat you like the queen you are.  The truth is I want us to be more than just friends.So with that all being said will you make me the happiest man and go out on a date with me?"

I was silent for a moment as I processed all what he said. He become sadder as each second went by without a word from my side.

Finally making a decision I spoke out "Yes Xander ,I will"

I really wasn't sure about my decision since I didn't really know if I liked him too.

Xander gave me a heart stopping kiss as if to express his happiness through the kiss

I liked everything about him Xander. From his smile to how he makes me blush just with words or a kiss to how he shares a great bond with Tommy. My heart seems to beat faster each time he's near me . I seem to love how he tries his best to be open around me even though he's used to being closed off with everyone. Xander was willing to make himself a better person for me and I was willing to give him a chance and show him how much I liked him too.

And then I realized something

I just admitted it.

I like Alexander King.

And I was willing to give him a chance even though the thought of dating scares me.

We broke the kiss and I laid my head on his chest savoring the feel of being in his arms.

"Hey Xander?"

"Mmmm?"

"I like you too"

And even though I couldn't see his face I knew he had a big smile on his face.
