Third Person POV
"Beatrice?"
Beatrice Hart stared at her older sister who looked more beautiful as she had grown into beautiful young lady.
She had always been jealous of Melody since Melody seemed to be good at everything.Gosh! Melody seemed to handle her depression better when they lost their parents. She channeled her depression into determination.
Purely determined not to let the dreams their parents had for both of them die just because their parents were no more. Melody did everything in her power to make sure that both herself and her little sister continued schooling ,and hopefully live their dreams in the future.
Then there was her, who used drugs and bad companionship to cope with the depression. Even when Mel tried to step in, she always pushed her away wanting to be left alone.
Beatrice wanted to be better at something too, but she didn't realize in the process of wanting to be better at something she was destroying her own life.
If only Beatrice knew how her sister felt deep down she wouldn't even think she wasn't good at anything.
Indeed Mel felt like she had let down not only her parents but Beatrice too. She was too caught up in taking care of their education and providing for both of them that she never really thought of how her sister was coping with her depression.
Whenever her sister came home gloomy, she felt like it was just a phase she was going through. But boy was she wrong.
She never pushed harder to break the walls her sister built when her parents died . She turned a blind eye as her sister was being pushed into bad company.
She left her sister alone to fight her demons and she doesn't even blame Beatrice for who she had become now. After all if Mel had paid more attention to her sister she might have been able to help her fight her depression and chanel it into something worth while.
No matter how much Mel pretended not to care for her sister's whereabouts ever since she dropped Tommy at her place, she knew deep down it was her fault for letting her sister destroy her life , and guess what , she cared a lot . But she preferred not to think too much of her sister since she wanted to forget her guilt.
Sometimes Mel felt like a hypocrite.Pretending as if her sister destroying her life was her own fault.
Now staring at her sister now she couldn't even look her in the eye without feeling the past few years flash in front of her eyes.
"Mel who's at the do-" Xander felt the words get stuck in his throat when he saw the gloomy looking woman standing at the doorstep.
The woman looked like she had not slept in days with her sunken looking eyes and her tear stained face. Even with her sleep deprived looking face, she wore expensive looking clothes which was in contrast with her facial expression.
Xander saw the realization flash through her eyes, her eyes which had the same color as his beautiful girlfriend's own.
Xander was completely confused by the slight resemblance between both of them.
Beatrice stared at Xander remembering him immediately. She immediately thought of bowing her head afraid of being recognized by him but after much debate she decided against it. Besides it had been years since they met and she was very sure a lot of women had tried what she wanted to do with him. He probably forgot about her already but how could she forget him. Having a history with him which he had no idea about.
She knew that once he found out, he was going to hate her forever . What she had done was very sinful and to think she went to that extent for money.
