Chapter,?, Im taken..

So I wrote this 2 years ago, and never actually published it :) So I think I might start this up again! I can't help but laugh at my writing skills then, they're so cute!

October P.O.V.-

       I followed Jiles silently to the room.  He said it was a gift and i should feel blessed and honored to be given a gift only few would receive. I tried to be grateful but, it was my life and in my life nothing ever turned out well. Except for Zack and my friends. They were amazing and I took them for granted sometimes but, no matter my mood or my temper they still loved me. I smile had crept up on my face for thinking about my family, the only true family i had. I knew i had to get out of this place soon. There was so much i had to do, and i didn't want to die down here. Serina had too many big dreams that she was capable to fill, to much of a life to live, to waste it down here. In this place that was unmistakeably beautiful but, had no light, no beach, no open air. And most of all, no normalcy.

   "October, i understand your worried, but i have no intentions on keeping you here. All the people you seen before are being sent back, as well as yourself and the others, because we need them to do something we cant. Unlike Innocence or some other guides, as we call them, we cannot go into the sun. Or more of we haven't tried due to the stories in the books of the ancients. Some, so to speak, are picked when they are little due to little characteristics that they have, making them guides, they are of course allowed to turn it down but most don't. Most enjoy it actually, they love your type of food." Jiles said, keeping the same pace toward the room of doom.

"Wait, your a mind reader, arent you? Thanks for the heads up. so what exactly do you need us to do?" i said. I pretended to be irretated and i knew he would know i wasnt, but i couldnt help it. It was one of those things that you cant pass up.

"Hah, Yes, October i am. And what we need you to do, is help us. By being able to read and watch people who are deemed harmful, or i guess spy on someone who we need you to."

" Wait, so were like spies? That's kinda epic. do we get cool gadgets and stuff? That would be better than epic."

" I love you enthusiasm, and yes like spies. And again yes, you do get gadgets. As well as a  trip to this room to see if they have powers or special abilities."

We were stopped outside a black stone door that was very pretty. I had no doubt it was cold and i wanted to press my face against it. I was trying not to think stupid because i dint want Jiles to hear. Ugh, i wished i had some sort of magic blocker thing-y. That would be useful. Yeah, i could chill and read others people thoughts and no one could read mine. Hah. Maybe i would get some wicked cool powers, as well. Maybe this wasn't such a band thing....

"  What are you doing?" Ji;es asked looking at me weird. He was concentrating deeply and starting a hole into me. I wiped the smile off my face and kinda stared before i answeres.

" I was think about powers that i might have. You know, like every kid where i come from wants some... Why?"

" I cant read you thoughts. I don't know why.. That has never happened to me, ever. I have one of the strongest and most powerful abilities. What were you thinking exactly?"

" Well i may have thought about how i didn't want to sound stupid and how i wish i could have a mind thought block thingy. But i didn't think it would ever actually work. I mean, i haven't even gone inside the room yet. Were just standing outside of it. I'm sorry i didn't mean too honestly.. I never thought,, I SO sorry."

  I didn't know why i felt so bad. Maybe it was he look on his face. OR maybe the fact that they could keep me here. Either way i felt terrible for putting him in the position of doubting his powers like he was doing.
