Chapter 13: little goes a long way.

A few days went by and whenever Natalie had free time she spent it mostly on taking notes on anything she thought could be useful.
One day Natalie was sitting outside reading up on her Muggle history to find a link anywhere when she felt a tap on top of her head.
"Oh hi Draco" Natalie said with her usual warm smile. Natalie looked down to Dracos had and seen he had a letter.
"You actually did it" Natalie said with surprise.
"Of course I did idiot, I know you want to know about your family so, I ask my father for any information he could remember" Draco says handing Natalie the letter.
"Have you check in case it has anything for you" Natalie asked.
"No" Draco says
"Well" Natalie says patting the free spot next to her and opening the letter.
When Natalie opened it she didn't take the letter out at first.
"You ok" Draco asked.
"Ye just wondering what he said, and slightly worried" Natalie admitted.
"Want me to read it" Draco asked.
"I'll be fine, thanks though" Natalie says placing her head on Draco's shoulder for a second to give what was to her a small hug, for Draco it was another thing he had to keep himself calm over.
Natalie just stares at the page without saying anything.

                                My Son has informed me that you wish to know about my friendship with your Father and Mother. In these circumstances it would be best to inform your Grandparents on the matter but I will say Matthew Davis made big Choices in his lifetime some  i personally wouldn't agree on. He was skilled in a lot of ways and could of done amazing things for wizarding world which he lost touch on as he got older and started being around the Smiths More. I Knew your Father from a young age as the Davis and Malfoys have been very close and still are to this day. You and Draco would of had the same thing if your Father was in the wizarding world. As for your mother, I never had a close bond with her, Very shy girl from what I could remember. Your Father took an interest around out 5th year, we never seen eye to eye in a lot of things. Was surprised to find out Matthew went with a Hufflepuff but she was a pureblood so I never stopped it. She loved Muggles while I never but that's a topic for another time. Natalie felt a lump in her throat and her breathing was slightly getting quicker the more she thought about it.
Draco took the page and read it while patting Natalies Back.
"Don't overthink it Nat" Draco said knowing what Natalie was like.
"Did they mean to forget" Natalie mumbled.
"Did Dad want to forget all....THIS" Natalie says moving her hand to point at as much as she could.
"I'm sure they didn't, My father can be very blunt with things" Draco pointed out.
Natalie couldn't help but let out a tear.
"At least I know something" Natalie says taking back the paper.
"That's the main thing Right now" Draco says putting his hand on Natalies shoulder.
"Tell your dad I say thank you" Natalie says with a small smile.
"Are you sure your ok" Draco says ignoring what Natalie said.
"I promise I'm ok, I just let my habits get the best of me sometimes" Natalie says fiddling with her hair.
"Now that that's out the way" Draco says taking the paper and putting it in Natalies bag.
"Focus on your...Muggle studies" Draco says confused.
"I'm trying to figure out what this writing is" Natalie says showing Draco the small scroll she managed to take out the Brooch, "thankfully it can be put back into the brooch" Natalie mentioned.
"It has to be Gaelic of some kind" Natalie says flipping the pages.
"This looks like an old Pureblood tradition" Draco says.
"That's what Amelia thought as well, great minds think alike" Natalie says reading a page.
"Do you know what type of Gaelic" Draco asked.
"Well from what I can find it seems to be Scottish judging by spelling so far" Natalie says.
"Plus that tradition hasn't been done in...gosh centuries I think" Draco says.
"You never know" Natalie says quickly.
"The...Magna Carta" Draco says slowly looking at Natalies Notes.
"Yep similar time, similar style and ways of speaking from the words I was able to figure out" Natalie says deep into the book.
Draco just flipped the pages and looked at Natalie Rather concerned.
"You do look a bit tired, have you been up most nights doing this" Draco asked.
"No Amelia would kill me, I just ...keep thinking" Natalie admits.
Draco let out a sigh, "you know, I'm sure I'm not the only one that's worried" Draco says grabbing Natalies shoulders making her look at him.
"You need to plan this out more, I know you hate people being worried about you and helping you by it is starting to effect you physically not just mentally" Draco says.
Natalie just turned her head looking away.
"You look exhausted, I seen you trying not to sleep in charms" Draco admits.
"I've asked Nicole and she feels the same, you have done a lot of research, and I know it is important to you" Draco says.
Again Natalie kept silent biting her lip to keep herself from talking,
"but someone once taught me being open was a good thing" Draco says leaning to the side giving Natalie a small smile.
Natalie looked at Draco eyes a bit wide, "he took that all in" Natalie thought to herself.
"I should practice what I preach" Natalie says giving Draco a smile back.
"But can I finish this book" Natalie asked.
Draco just burst out laughing.
"I can't stop you from reading Silly, I just mean not to focus on Just that" Draco says standing up.
"This world is new to you after all" Draco smirks.
"So you do pay attention" Natalie says.
"Your my....Dearest Friend of course I will be" Draco says looking away.
"Really" Natalie says trying her best not to just jump up and hug him, which made her legs shake trying to keep calm.
Draco noticed right away, "fine" Draco says opening his arms.

Natalie dashed over giving Draco a big hug. Natalie was glad to see this Side of Draco it still have her butterfly's but she would never admit it, she was glad to Judy have this bond with him, this trust. Something that was still new to her in some way.
Before she didn't tell her friends from the Muggle world that much, they were the opposite of her friends here.
After a while however Natalie didn't want to get out the hug, it felt...comforting, "thank you" Natalie whispered trying to now make it too awkward.
"No need to thank me" Draco says getting out the hug and messing with Natalies hair, something she got too used to by this point.
Draco walked off waving Natalie goodbye to which she returned.
Natalie turned to see Pancy leaning on the wall looking right at Natalie.
"Hi" Natalie says picking up her things.
"Do you" Pancy says glares shooting right at Natalie.
"Do I, what" Natalie says confused.
"Like him" Pancy says bluntly.
"Sure, he's a close friend of mine" Natalie says shrugging her shoulders.
"Agh you idiot I mean romantically" Pancy says Rolling her eyes.
Natalie let out a sigh, "I am aware you have feelings for Draco, practically the whole school knows" Natalie says crossing her arms.
"At least I'm accepting my feelings, but then again, Why would Draco go for a silly Hufflepuff over someone like me" Pancy says flipping her hair.
"Well he has he would rather be hit by Buckbeak a thousand times than be with you so that's a big hint plus...at least I have some form of manners" Natalie says rolling her eyes picking up her things.
"How Dare you" Pancy says now standing up straight.
"Just saying plus I don't see Draco romantically, and I'm sure he feels the same" Natalie says walking away.
"Problem girls" Nicole says crossing her arms.
"Oh ...west I was just telling your..friend here to stay away from my Draco" Pancy says which made Nicole burst out laughing.
"Is ya name on his forehead...nah then he can be pals with whoever he wants" Nicole says in such a firm voice even Pancy went wide eyed and walked away a little.
"Whatever" Pancy says walking off.
"What is it with her" Natalie says crossing her arms.
"Jealousy can be an evil thing" Nicole says shaking her head.
"It's not like I hang out with Draco every day" Natalie  says
"Well I also seen you being very clingy with him" Nicole says.
"Hugging someone isn't clingy Cole" Natalie says.
"I mean, you were like that for a while, Pancy probably seen and got jealous" Nicole says.
"God even here you can't escape it, can't to people be pals and not make it weird" Natalie says puffing her cheeks.
"Ah ignore her" Nicole says.
"Ye I should, have enough on my mind" Natalie says.
"Come on , I'll show you this new trick me and George came up with" Nicole says.
"Thanks Cole" Natalie says with a smile.
"Ah what are pals for , plus she will get a slap from me later if she tries anything" Nicole says cracking her knuckles.
"Stick to the vocal lashes" Natalie says clearing her throat which made Nicole giggle.
"Whatever you say Nat" Nicole says.
