The assassins nod and lead Damian to the torture room. Where he get his punishment.

One blow after the other. He feels that he bleeding and can do nothing. Silent hopes. Until a blow comes to his spine, the pain is unbearable and a scream comes from his mouth that he could not stop. The assassins laugh at how weak he is and that he is not worthy of the tron.

I recognize the voice  is't Damian. All is done I have already teleported all the things to my apartment. Now Damian.

Opens a portal to the room where Damian is.

Magnus comes out of the portal and sees that two assassins beating a very small Damian very brutally. The child tries not to scream or cry but he can't hold it back.
Without hesitation, Magnus shoots two bullets at the assassins, the assassins are thrown against the wall and severe burns all over their bodies. Magnus runs to Damian and takes him in his arms.

Magnus: I'll take you to safety * opens a portal and leaves with an injured Damian.

Arrives at the apartment, he carefully places Damian on the couch and heals him. After he heals the major injuries he runs his hand through Damian's hair.

Magnus: what exactly do you mean

Magnus: you are a child you should not be there. And you deserve better than that. I didn't want you to stay there.

Magnus: * pulls him onto his lap and hugs him * I want you to be happy that you are healthy and not in pain.

Magnus: because I love you I am not your father but to me you are my son, I have known you since you were 2 years old but for me you are my. Who didn't deserve to be treated like that.

Years went by and the league could not find Damian. Magnus knows the league fer too well and he had the help of other mage / warlocks witches and shadowhunters.
