Things went smoothly for the next month or so, I had got along with pretty much everyone other then Vladimir who didn't like who my father was, I didn't really have anyone to talk to and of course I felt awkward making friends with Vasily's family because of how they treated him as a kid, I was lonely though, all my friends where in different time zones and barely had time to speak to me.
Vasily still hated his parents and never talked to his siblings. Then again Vasily hated almost everyone and barely talked unless he needed to.
Anyways, things we're going quiet well, there was nothing I had to stress about right now,we were having dinner and as I was engaging into the conversation, I got a phone call.
"Hello?" I answer not bothering with standing up and walking to another room
Everyone's eyes was on me and when I answered, me being me I didn't check the name.
"Where are you? Are you okay? You had me worrying sick, your father called me saying when he was going to pay the bill for your apartment the people in the lobby had said you moved, where are you?" My aunt had rushed out
"Well I told him to stop trying to pay things for me" I whispered
Looking around I smiled shyly and stood up but before I could walk away someone had caught my hand pulling me back. Now sitting in Vasily's lap his eyes just told me to continue my conversation.
"I wanted to move and I forgot to tell anyone" my voice wavered as I start to get nervous
Vasily slid the phone out of my hand, not fast but also not to slow, it was slow enough for me to notice it and I didn't really care.
"Your lying to me, what happened? Are you okay? Sophia Maria-Chiara Marino Romano where are you?" She used my full name making me just stare at the phone with shock, she doesn't use it often and only a total of five times since I was seven
"I'll be at Nonna's house for thanksgiving and staying at Padres for the weekend, I'll explain a few things when I'm there" I sigh, so much for not feeling stressed.
"Okay but are you safe? I still want to know where you are Sophia" she demanded this time
"I'm fine, I'm safe" I look around the table at everyone staring back at me "Il più sicuro possibile (As safe as possible) I can't really tell you where I am, you'd probably freak out and tell dad and this is something I need to explain face to face"
"Well then we can FaceTime, I want to know where you are sweetheart"
"And you will... Next week when your sitting across from me at the dinner table" I rush out "love you, bye"
Hanging up before I got an answer or protest back.
I look back up at no one in particular and groan "Their gonna kill me" I stand up dragging myself away and up the stairs to the bedroom
Crawling in the bed and laying with my head in the pillows.
The door opened and closed, the bed dipping down at the weight of someone else that I knew would be Vasily, was next to me, he didn't let anyone in his room and everyone was aware that they weren't welcomed in, no one in the house would dare come in, even his mother stood in the door way.
"Are you okay Lyubov'?" He asked rubbing my back
I moved my head sideways to look at him sitting down next to me.
"I'm scared" I whisper and another questioning look pops up on his face "Growing up I was rarely around my father as you know, but he didn't like when people made mistakes and in his eyes you, your father, your family, all mistakes to him" a pause "I don't know if I should be scared or not, I don't know how far he would go"
