Sam
I saw her smile in the pictures of us hung up in our room.
There was one that caught my attention and made me smile.
That night was the night we first made love.
The night she took my v card, the night I claimed her mine.
Flashback Begins
"Todd! Can you please just listen to the kid? This is big. Jacob made her life a living hell and now Sam is trying to mend her broken heart." I heard one of her friends say.
"Minnie. I don't like any of the two. I don't like any boy dating my little sister. And to think about him taking away her virginity last year as a joke, that was the icing on the cake. He is so lucky you were there that I couldn't smash his face in." Josh said.
"Babe I'm not leaving till you listen to his words." She said and looked at me and smiled.
"Fuck. Fine. Come on Samantha spit it out." He spat and looked at me.
"Uh okay my name is Sam by the way. And uh I think I'm in love with your sister. Since the moment I saw her in Spanish class to the moment I found out she was in love with books like me. I really care for her and if you can just understand that I'm not like my brother. Jacob uses her for her looks and publicity. Where I on the other hand look at her like a fragile rose. She's so fragile like one that I want to take care of her. To be the one there at the alter waiting for her in the white dr-"I said till he stopped me.
"Listen you sound like you're a cool kid. But-"he said till she stopped him.
"There's no buts babe, she likes him a lot and he likes her too. He wants to be there for her. He's better than jay babeee-"She stopped as he walked away from us.
"He's dealing with a lot right now. Riley cut herself again yesterday." She frowned.
"That's why she's not here today?" I asked.
She didn't say anything and walk away.
I stood there and began to cry a bit.
I saw a trash can and kicked it.
I ran off the bleachers and onto the track.
I jogged at first then I caught my breath and began to run.
I ran for her. I hoped that one day she'd be mine.
"That day will come Riley. Even if I'm fighting in the war. I'll always be here for you." I said and slowed down as it began to pour.
I looked up as the rain hit me.
I smiled and walked towards the school.
*Flashback Ends*
My phone brought me back to reality.
"Minnie?" I asked.
"Where the hell are you?" Minnie screamed.
"I'm still at my house. What's the problem?" I groaned.
"She's here and you're not! I thought you were going to be here." She screamed again.
"Listen I'm going to be there, just tell her I'm on my way." I smiled.
"I can't tell her you have to tell her yourself. You can't just expect me to say it." Minnie said.
"Fine. I'll be there in twenty. His old house right?" I asked.
"Correct. Okay. Better be here in the next half an hour..." She said to me.
