LAST DAY OF MY SCHOOL

I still remember the first day of my school
My parents came holding my hands
With small backpack on my back
With all anxiety I looked at them
With heavy hearts my parents left me
In the hands of my teacher
From the window of my nursery class
I saw my parents and I cried
For whole week parents accompanied
Sitting at the reception in case I cry

Junior, Senior, Primary, Secondary,
I enjoyed school but later on never cried
Right from the watchmen at the gate,
Uncles, aunts, teachers and mates
Tiny little mischievous, but smiling face
I was a dear one to everybody's guess
I enjoyed all activities that school held
All the adventures and outdoors
Arts, sports, dance, drama and song,
Those were wonderful days to friends belong

Now we're grown-up laugh when we see
Tiny juniors holding their parents knees,
A tear drops from my eyes wet
Thinking of my thirteen years journey met
It was the last day which will be the past
For making it memorable, joy forever it lasts

We well dressed friends
Flowing emotions and joy lasts till end
With heavy hearts teachers entered
All wished the best for exams
We enjoyed, the even with fun and dance
To make it unforgettable farewell school glance

The only difference I found
A small child entered school that cried
Its me after thirteen years
As a senior who loved this school
While leaving again cried
