"You've torn your ligament" The nurse tutted, examining the foot as she turned it from side to side gently

"What? I cant! I have a competition tomorrow" Her back shot up, fingers clutching the thing material of the bed sheet

"A torn ligament can lead to really severe ankle injuries if not rested well, so I would suggest you rest up and avoid too much physical activity for the time being" She explained, shaking her head in disapproval

"My competition...it's literally in two days! How- how serious is this, can i still apply pressure on it?" Her body drowned with panic, thin shreds of sweat seeping through her forehead

"I'm afraid not. It may not look too serious now, but there will be bruising soon and you'll start to feel the pain once you put pressure on it" The nurse spun around, pulling open the cabinet to slide a form to Yuri "Sign this"

"Crutches rental contract? Are you serious?" She spat

"You don't believe how many people have stolen crutches to be used as light sabers"

"I don't need crutches, look, I can walk" She threw herself off the bed roughly, falling on her injured foot and immediately crashing down. Luckily, Jeno stepped forward and grasped her arm before she could give herself a broken nose along with everything else she had broken in the past fortnight.

The pain was like a bunch of hot rocks being forced into her skin and there was no way she could fake not being hurt. After she was safely back on the bed, Jeno dived his hands back into his pocket and kept his eyes down.

"You can't fake stuff like that in front of me" She shuffled through her cupboard of things She was the first time she had seen someone fake they were fine; most people just pretended they were sick to get out of doing things.

"I have semi-finals tomorrow I can't just skip it" She threw her hands up, eyes wide with disbelief. She didn't care, she had to go. The nurse glanced at Jeno, passing him a card "My names Jung Aeum, keep an eye on her and tell me if something happens"

"We're from two different sides of the school" Jeno dead panned, but took the card anyways.

"Oh?" Aeum slowly retracted her hand

"But I'll take care of her" A hint of mischief sparkled in his smirk "Very well"

"What...happened to you" Ten let out a breath, flickering his eyes up and down her body. She had a thick bandage around her ankle as she constantly clutched onto her back that was still healing, limping around like a duckling without a wing

"Blame it on Jeno" She forced a smile, pushing open the glass door to the taekwondo centre

"Did he like karate kick you or something cause' holy shit you're basically a living rag doll" He helped her in, leaning the crutches to the side as she took a seat on the side bench.

"He tainted my luck" Yuri placed her palms on her knees, glancing around at the room with hopeless eyes

"Maybe it wasn't good in the first place"

"Shut up"

"How do you guys even see each other? You're literally on two sides of the school" Ten slid into the seat next to her, glazing his eyes at her with concern

"His competitive ass wants to win the deal"

"What deal?"
