✧CHAPTER 10
A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES✧
"Are you sure you want to attend?" Ten asked as they walked side by side on their way to Yuri's dorm
"I have to" She put a hand on Ten's shoulder "You don't have to worry about me"
"Are you not even going to try and stop the courting? You know it's not your mother's fault" Tens face was etched with worry and concern
"What can I do against the government? Plus, we already have a lawyer fighting for our side" She tried to calm Ten down, but she knows herself that she's nowhere near calm either
"The lawyer just wants money! It doesn't affect him win or lose, but it will to you" Ten groaned.
"Hey, maybe we'll win, you never know" She chuckled, grabbing the keychain she had made with Jeno months ago.
"And if you don't? What will happen? If your mother's gone, how is your whole generation going to keep it up? Who knows what will happen to you? Without Cinderella's sister, there is no Cinderella's sisters daughter."
"Even if that was the case, I have another sister anyways, they'll just lose a sister, that's all" The tone in her voice really suggested the fact that she didn't care if she was going to die or not. Her smile was weak, but still there. Perhaps she was happy with what she's done already; perhaps she has no regrets.
"But have you considered us? Me? Mark? Jeno? What are we going to do? We've never experienced or heard of anyone going into the cemetery before, this is the first time. Well, besides Jeonghun. But think about it. How is the school going to react? What's going to happen to the rest of us? Your story? Your-"
Yuri chuckled, placing her hands on Ten's shoulder for reassurance "I'll be OK. Plus, Jeonghun got out of it didnt he?"
"But what if you don't?"
"Whatever happens, you'll always have the memories, right?"
"Cmon Yuri..."
"I'm still here, that's all that matters. I've got to drop something off before I go anywhere, I'll...see you soon" Yuri packed the last of her bag and waved towards Ten. Ten gave her a solemn wave back, each corner of his skin etched with concern.
The moment she closed the door, she sucked a deep breath in and held in her emotions. This was a big day, who knew what was going to happen.
So she decided, she was going to do everything she didn't get to before.
Trudging towards the Evils side of school, she pushed open the large doors. The rusty scent of the floorboard already made her feel at home.
The keychain he had made her was clasped tightly around her finger in hopes to calm herself down. Luckily, she was able to spot Jeno exiting his dorm with a USB in hand. The moment she approached him, he shoved the USB behind his back
"Oh hey" Jeno stammered almost immediately as he greeted her. After yesterday night, they had returned entirely to what they were before: strangers.
"I came here to collect something, sorry" Horrible excuse. Yuri looked beside her for a couple seconds, then proceeded to purposely drop Sooyun's scroll on the floor and scurry away behind the Royal's big doors.
Jeno breathed a sigh of relief. Just as he was about to leave, he noticed a red ribbon on the floor. It was the scroll. Crouching down and picking up the scroll, he gaped.
