"So, uh, (Name)?" A worried Steven floated over to you as you nodded to him in acknowledgement. "Yes, Steven?"
"So- my mom gave up her physical form to make me. But you and Citadel are also part gem, but your moms are fine. How does that work?" He queried.
"Our gems were given to Citadel and I when we were well into life. Pink Diamond actually gave birth to you. Our mothers gave us a shard of their gems so that we could be like them, so technically, we are 'blood' related to them." You explain.
Steven nodded. "So you were a normal human once? Both you and Citadel?" Steven asked, stars in his eyes. "But you guys are like thousands of years old! What was the Earth like back then?"
Citadel hummed in thought. "We all come from different places, but I'm from London. There was a king and a queen and a bunch of army dudes who liked to boss around the peasants." He said.
"I worked in the castle as a guard. It was fun, until me and the other army dudes accidentally got involved in a gem battle and I got hurt. That's where mom found me and saved me!" He chirped.
"She freaked me out at first because she's all bright and white and shiny, but she was sweet once I got to know her!" Finished Citadel. Steven whipped his head to you. "What about you, (Name)? Any cool stories?" He asked.
"I was born and raised in ancient Japan. I came from a wealthy family, but I didn't grow up with them. I know their names, but I had no idea who they really were." You started.
"I was raised and trained by Master Yin. I had a lot of interesting adventures, like The War of Seasons I was involved in when I was 10."
Steven's eyes lit up. "You were in a war when you were 10?" He asked in amazement. You nodded. "Yes. And I won, too." You said, smiling.
"Wow...that's awesome, (Name) What else did you do?" Steven asked in awe. You hummed in thought. "Well, there was the time I discovered that moving village..."
Citadel cheered. "I love this one! Tell him the story, (Name)! Tell him!" Citadel urged. You nodded, looking off ahead to the mountain you and your cousins were about to be climbing.
"It was a long time ago..."
I was about to be mastering my second form of martial arts training. The Master had sent me out into the bamboo forest to sharpen my mind.
