chapter 2 meeting someone new

I wake up in a strange room which makes me jump up. I study my surroundings and realize it's just the hotel we rented. I head out my room and go the kitchen. Mom is knocked out on the couch and so is Sophia. I look in the kitchen and see no food so i decide to head out and stop by the mall. When i get there i decide to go to Aunt Annies and order a large soft pretzel then i go to Barnes and Nobles to get some books....

I come out of Barnes and Noble with Paper Towns, Fault in our Stars, Hunger Games Trilogy, The morality doctrine sequel, Looking for Alaska, and Enders Game. I think it's gonna be a fun weekend. I decide to go to Aropostal, Rue 21, and a couple other stores to look for some school clothes for this school year. I bought 5 jeans, 10 tops, 7 dresses, 8 pairs of shoes, with some accessories.

I got everything i needed so i decided to start roaming. I look in best buy for a new case then started roaming to anywhere my feet would take me............

I ended up buying mom some earrings and a few outfits, and Sophia some candy and shoes. I think i should probably go home now before mom starts blaring my phone. Right when I'm about to head out i caught a guys gaze and when i looked at him he turned away. He looked about 16. I wasn't sure how long he's been staring at me and I wasn't planning on finding out so I head out without looking back and go to the ice cream shop to get some ice cream for them before heading home. While i drive to the ice cream shop i decide to turn on the radio. I skim through the channels to find that its useless so i plug in my phone and blast some music from there. Since i feel tensed i think I'll listen to a slow relaxing song. I put on Close Your Eyes by Meghan Trainor and hum to the song. Once the songs over i arrive at the ice cream shop. When i first walk in i notice somebody sitting at a table with his friends. Theguy was staring at me. Oh. My. God. Not again. When i get a closer look i realize that it was the same guy who was staring at me in the mall. I think it's time i confront this guy. But i decide to order the ice cream first. I order one mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, one strawberry ice cream cone, and one cookie dough ice cream cone. I put them in the car and see that the boy followed me outside. Feeling furious, i walk up to him and say,

"What the hell is wrong with u! Why do u keep following me!"

He looks at me surprised and says,  "sorry! Geez! I just wanted to say hi".

Hearing him say that made me even more mad. He must think I'm stupid. There's obviously another reason why he's following me. "Ok wats the real reason why u were following me". When he didn't respond i walked to my car getting ready to leave until he said "wait!" I stopped turned around and waited for a response. Then he said

"Hi, the names Newt."

"Adalyn" i responded.

"When i first seen u, u looked lost so i wanted to help u out"

Then i thought about, he seemed pretty nice. And he was kinda hot. But i still do not like to be followed. I looked at the time and realized mom would start worrying so i decided is time to go. And the ice cream was probably getting melty.

"Well I'm fine. Nice to meet u Newt, but I'd better go."

He looked disappointed then said "ok, see u later. I guess." Then walked back into the shop with the rest of his friends. Then i hopped in the car and drove home, thinking about Newt.
