chapter 4 This towns just getting better

Why couldn't we just stay in California??!!! Its much more warmer there and I knew more people there anyways. I plug in my headphones the whole ride since there's nothing better to do. While mother is busy blabbing on her plans for our new life I listen to a few of their albums like American Beauty/American Psycho, From Under the Cork Tree, and Save Rock and Roll. By the time there finished playing we arrive at the new house and it beautiful! Its so HuGe! The yard is huge and beautiful!!! It even has a pool outback!! I can't believe I'm living here it waaaayyyy better than the house in California. As soon as Sophia sees the house she was frozen stuck. When mum sees our expressions she tells us that our step dad paid for it. Before she could say anything else me and Sophia rush in the house to see who calls the best room. They were like 10 bedrooms!!! With like 30 other rooms!!! That's when I found the perfect room. It was like half the size of a flat! It had mint green walls and the softest turquoise carpet and there was a HUGE flat screen TV hanging on the wall. Their was a Californian king sized bed with the silkiest sheets and the softest blanket with a huge Mockingjay on it. He always knew me so well. There was also a huge paint set in the walk in closet for me to paint on the walls. I'll paint the 3 Mockingjay formations later. I check on Sophia's room and its a a bit smaller than mine. Her walls are purple and her carpets hot pink. She was watching TV on her flat screen TV. I decide to go downstairs and find a snack. While mum is getting used to her room and the house I grab a tub of sherbert ice cream and go watch tv. I decide to watch some cartoons like chowder and teen titans go. Then I put on some of the old Disney channel shows. After getting tired I grab my car keys for my new car and drive around town. Its a bit cold in Denver so I wear a long sleeve grey sweater with a scarf and some denim jeans with boots. I go to the mall to find some new outfits and books. This time I come out of Barnes and Nobles with the Percy Jackson Series, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, Stay with Me, and the Game of Lives bc it finally came out!!! Then I head to Aeropostal to find some new outfits. I bought like 10 outfits *thx to my step dad* then headed to Rue 21. I got a few things then decided my last stop was Catos. Afterwards I headed home. I went straight to my room and starting reading the books I bought including the books I bought last time that I didn't read. I start reading papertowns. As soon as I finish that book it was already time for dinner. Uggghhhh I don't feel like eating right now. I go downstairs when my mom tells me there's exciting news.

"What's the news!?!"

"Your father is coming back from Florida!"

Wow I did not see this coming. This is great news! I was always a daddy's girl when I was little. Its been a year since he was home. He's gonna freak when he sees the mansion. Well....if mom didn't send him like a million pictures of it already.

"We are going to get him from the airport tomorrow! We are leavin tomorrow at 6!!!"

"Ugggghhhhhh" me and Sophia groan in unison.

Oh that reminds me! Sophia's gonna be 10 soon! I'll buy her present later but I'll keep it in mind.

After eating dinner I head upstairs and just go on my phone and text my California friends about everything. It feels like I left them years ago. The first one to reply on our group chat is Clara. She really wanted to see the mansion and everything

Adalyn: HEY GUYS!!! long time no see!

Clara: HEYYY!!! WE MISS U SO MUCH!! wats the happs

Angela:enough with the screeching. You sound like typical blondes.

Clara: Hey! What's wrong with blondes!

Angela: ur kind is too ugh

Wendy: DONT START THE CHAT WITHOUT ME!!

Adalyn: it's nice to talk to u guys it feels like we haven't talked in ages!!!!!! How it going in da joint

Angela: horrible with these bums

Clara: HEY!!! u know u love us

Wendy: yeah u know ya do¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Angela: whatever! TELL US ABOUT DENVER!!!

Adalyn: Ok well let's see I now live in a mansion and I'm going to a new school next week and there's some dude *that's kinda cute*that used to follow me around but I shrugged him off

Angela: U LIVE IN A MANSION!?!

Clara: WHAT NEW SCHOOL!?!

Wendy: WHATS HIS NAME!?!

Adalyn: Ok u guys need to chill. Yes, idk, idk.

Angela: LEMME SEE THE MANSION!

Clara: WHEN R U GOING!?! HOW DOES IT LOOK!?!

Wendy: WHY WOULD U SHRUG HIM OFF!?!

Adalyn: ok I dunno let's change the subject before y'all gimme a heart attack. I got new books!!!!!

Angela: OMG YASSSS!! WAT BOOKS R THEY!?!

Clara: YAAAASSSSSS!!! WHAT R THEY!!!

Wendy: book nerds

Adalyn: BOOKS R DA BEST!!! AND I GOT PERCY JACKSON GIRL WITH DRAGON TATTOO AND GAME OF LIVES CAME OUT!!!!

Clara: GAME OF LIVES!?! YAAAASSSSSS!!!!

Angela: OMG YAS I NEED GAME OF LIVES!!!!

Adalyn: YAS O MY GOD THE FEELS!!!!!

Wendy: y'all crazy gtg

Adalyn: k

Clara: k

Angela: k

Adalyn: dudes!!!! I just thought of something awesome!!!

Clara: WHAT!?!

Angela: WHAT!?!

Adalyn: I have a plan but let's wait till Wendy gets back tmrow

Angela: k bye

Clara:k bye

Adalyn: bye bye

I decide I should go to bed since I gotta get up early. I take a 2 hour shower then go to bed.......

*tomorrow morning*

My alarm wakes me up at 4 so I lay in bed for 10 minutes then decide to get up and take a shower. When I get out its 5 so I decide to wear one of my new outfits which was a mint green sweater, denim jeans, boots, and a scarf since it was cold outside. I make some pancakes for me, Sophia, and mum. By the time I'm finished it was 5:30 and Sophia and mother were already showered and dressed. We all ate our pancakes and started driving to the airport. I plugged in my headphones and drifted to sleep listening to the Kids Arent Alright by Fall Out Boy.
