chapter 3 Panick Attack

I walk in the house and find that they are still sleeping so I put the ice cream in the freezer and plop on the couch and start flipping through the channels. I find some show named eye candy then decide there's nothing better so I just leave it on. When it starts to get kinda interesting mom wakes up then starts looking for something to cook. When I tell her about the ice cream in the freezer she starts ranting about how we should stop eating junk but she eats the ice cream anyways. Then she tells me to wake up Sophia and get some fresh air. Frustrated, I throw a pillow at Sophia then she jumps up as if I poured cold water down her pants. After hearing her moan and complain I decide to take her out for a ride, as far away as possible from the places I found that creep. What was him name? Newt? I decide it'd be better off without him. I'm knocked out of my thoughts when I almost crash into a random driver. I swerve back onto my lane and decide I should listen to some music to distract me. I flip through my songs and find Alone Together by Fall Out Boy. I just love the young blood chronicles. When sophie starts to complain I cut it down a knotch and decide to start small talk.

"Ya know this is my car I could play the music as loud as I want."

"Well you didn't buy it so its not yours!"

"Whatever. How's Denver so far little rascal."

"I'm not a rascal! And how am I suppose to know you've been driving in circles for hours!!!"

Shit! I forgot I was suppose to take her to a park or some place where she could leave me alone.

"Maybe u should check ur license grandma!"

"Ya know I don't have to take u anywhere. I could take u back home right now"

"Where's the park!! I'm tiiirrreed of waaaaiiiiting!!!"

Oh I'm gonna give her a park alright. I pull up in the driveway and let her get out of my face. She runs out of the car and runs for the swings. I decide to chase after her and call the next swing. I mean who doesn't love swings? Once I reach the swings I plug in my earphones and listen to my playlist dedicated to Fall Out Boy. When I'm in the middle of The Kids Aren't Alright I noticed I was on the floor. Did I really swing that high? Before I could get up or react I see a figure already waiting to help me up. Once he helps me up that's when he starts to come into focus then I realize its newt. I shove him away then realize that Sophia left the swings. That's when I start to panick. Where could she have gone!?! Forgetting that newt was there I accidentally walk into him then we fall on the ground. I get up and start to walk towards the slides to see if she was there. Right when I'm about to leave he catches my arm.

"Hey. R u alright? U seem kinda-"

Oh mY GoD I don't have time for this!

"Hello may I help you cuz I'm in a hurry."

"I thought maybe I could help u ur starting to sweat. And I was wondering if u had time to-"

"No I have no time maybe we could talk later I have to look for someone. Bye."

Before he can reply I dash for the slide. I look around the whole place and she's not here! What am I going to do!?! Right before I start going full on psycho I see her on the hill talking to some boy and she had the biggest smile on her face. Awwwww Sophie's getting a crush. I wanna know what they're talking about so I hide behind a slide and eavesdrop on them. It was casual talk so I start to go over there realizing that its nothing until i hear him ask her if she wanted to meet him at a bakery and she beamed yes not realizing she doesn't have a ride there. After that I decide to interrupt them and get sophia. She looked pissed once she seen me coming then she shooed him off so he was gone by the time I came.

"So who was that hmmmmm??"

"It was nobody important!" Though I could already see her start to go ruby red all over.

"Sophia's got a crush!!" I decide to tease her about it since she had me worried sick.

"Ssssshhhhh! Promise u won't scare him off!"

"Only if u do whatever I say" but after a while I decide to give in bc she's only a kid. She'll probably get over him quick. He's just a small crush. Once we get in the car I rant to her about how I was worried sick when I noticed she wasn't at the swings anymore. But based on her face the whole time she was thinking of him. Wow I don't even know his name.

"So what's his name?????" I urge her to tell me but she won't budge so I leave her alone and decide I'll find out later.

After listening to the whole American Beauty/American Psycho album I pull up in the parking lot. When we are about to head to our apartment room we see mom with all our bags and a huge smile on her face. Before we can even ask she says

"I found the perfect house. And I found the perfect school for you and its only 15min away from the house!!! I already have u guys enrolled in the school sophia ur in elementary and Adalyn ur in the high school of course. The school year hasn't started yet so u both will be starting school next week. We are moving right now!!!!!"

Oh shit! I forgot about school!! This is gonna be one loong year.
