June 30th, 1995

Darkness and grief flooded the halls of Hogwarts. Children and teachers unable to speak of what happened to the poor boy, what the tournament had done to that boy.

Cedric Diggory passed away the five days ago, a sweet Hufflepuff, only seventeen. Rumors are saying that The Boy Who Lived saw He-who-must-not-be-named, kill Diggory. Some are saying that he didn't, that he isn't back from the dead.

What really happened in the maze?

"I just can't believe he's gone, just like that" Juniper mumbled as she was poking at her piece of bacon, while she lays her head Theo's shoulder. The group was eating breakfast in the great hall, along with the other houses.

"I know right, we weren't even close but imagine how Cho Chang feels. I heard she hasn't been out of her room since." Daphne's sweet light voice followed Juniper's comment. Nobody in the group was really good friends with Cedric, Draco was the only one since he made the 'Potter stinks' badges.

I only had short conversations with Cedric, it was mostly filled with a couple of flirtatious comments here and there.

Draco had his head down, quiet as usual when something bad happens. He was always like this. Everyone in the group knew that Lucius was a Death Eater, they never wanted to bother young Malfoy when Death Eaters were involved.

"Did you hear that the end of term feast is going to be a memorial for him?" Parkinson said as she shoved a spoonful of oatmeal into her mouth.

"That's nice, so I am guessing all black as usual for tomorrow" Juniper replied to Pansy. The two girls didn't have enough energy to make any smug comments towards each other, plus they have gotten slightly closer over the years.

After breakfast the group split their ways and headed to their classes.

Juniper's POV

Today was the day that the students of Hogwarts gets closure with the sixth year that had passed away. I wasn't ready. It was a Saturday so I chose to miss breakfast and sleep in, but I also had to pack my trunk since tomorrow we were leaving for Summer break.

Thank Merlin for Tracey and Daphne being such kind roommates, they brought me food. Pansy on the other hand she just borrows my clothes without asking.

It was now half past twelve, around noon, I chose to eat a little bit of the food they had brought for me. After eating, I started packing my stuff but I left out my Slytherin robe and the under clothes I was wearing to the memorial tonight. I also had to leave out the clothes I was going to wear on my way back home.

The girls were already dressed and out in the common room, I rushed to get ready and shoved my clothes into my bags and trunk so I can hangout with  my friends. It was now three in the afternoon when I walked down to meet the group, dinner and the memorial would start in about two hours.

"Well look who's finally out of their room!" Blaise and Theo said in unison, as if they were the Weasley Twins.

"We thought you were dead since your magic felt—."

"Low, your magic feels very low Juniper." Blaise finished Theo's comment.

"It's probably low because I just want to get the hell out of here, I miss my parents you know" I raised my voice a little. What has gotten into me? They are only concerned.

"Sorry Juniper" Theo said as him and Blaise those their hands up in surrender. We then hung out and talked about what we are planning on doing for summer break, until dinner was ready.
