It was around midnight as Jay lay in bed wondering about things as he tried to sleep. He was mostly thinking about the date at the lake he had the other day with Xena. He thinks to himself about how bad he made it turn out. 'It could have been better' he thought to himself.
He closes his eyes after a bit and only has them closed for a few minutes before he feels someone nudge his shoulder. He sighs and looks to the left since that is the only direction it would come from and sees it's Xena.
"Hey sweetie!" She said smiling while her face was close to his face. She was squatting down and to be face to face with him. Jay sees she is wagging her tail a bit fast too.
"H-hey X-Xena...you realize what time it is?" He asked her softly and yawned. He was too tired at the moment to do so.
"Yea I know what time it is but I'm asking you if you'd like to go out to town and maybe goof off or something silly?" She offered him.
"I-isn't that super risky, even when everyone is asleep?" He asked her.
She nods "yea it's risky, but who cares, what's the point of life if we don't be risky every now and then?" She asked him while wagging her tail quickly to show her excitement.
He sees her tail movement and sighs "Alright...I'll go" he said softly.
She jumps up and down in excitement, grabbing his arm and drags him towards the exit of the hive/cave. He groans softly as he tries to get up because Xena was just pulling him along the cold cave ground.
"Xena please stop" he said softly, he was half asleep too. She yelped and stops. Letting him get up slowly and yawn again.
"I'm so sorry Jay!" She said quickly and pats his clothes to clean them off a bit as he stretches.
He sighs and rubs his eyes "it's fine, can we just be quick, I'm tired" he said softly.
She nods "hold that thought" she said and runs off. Coming back with a stone carved bowl with spring water and pouring water on his head.
He yelped and shook "Hot! hot!" He said now awakened by the super hot water. Xena gives him a wide smile and roses the bowl.
"You ready now!?" She asked.
"Yep!! I'm ready! But don't do that again" she replied.
"Ok noted" she said and held his hand and skips off with him to town.
They make it to the road and Xena stares at the bright lights and cars that pass by. Jay also looks at the town he hasn't seen in a week.
"It's been a week since I last saw the town," he said to Xena.
"Yep! Like a human vacation or some camping trip" she replied.
"Yea. So tell me what I'm going to do?" Jay sees a gas station on the left and a Walmart on the right side of the "T" shaped road they can see." Maybe this isn't such a good idea" Jay told her after another minute of silence.
"Don't be silly! Everything is going to be ok, follow me" she said and headed to the right, walking in front of him and Jay sighs, following her.
She then stops in front of a Main Event that was closed. Jay looks at it for a moment.
"You want to go in there?" He asked, turning his head to look at her.
She looks back and nods "looks fun come on" she said and then runs across the road super fast before a car comes.
Jay's jaw drops and he stares at her on the other side of the road. She waves smiling and mutters 'come on! Hurry!'
"She must be crazy today or something" he said looking to the left and the right side of the road and quickly rubbed for it. Upon making it, Xena hugs him tightly and he sighs.
"You made it! My brave boy!" She said and giggled then walked towards the building.
He looks at her and mutters "I'm not your brave boy" he said and follows a few feet behind her.
"Oh boy" Jay said to himself. He was also nervous that he's about to do something super illegal and dangerous.
