AN: I am extremely sorry this has taken so long to come out. To all my loyal readers out there thanks for hanging in there. I had the worse case of writer's block and could not get through it. I received a message this morning from msFlaneur, I don't know what it was about the message but it helped me clear my head and the words literally just started flowing and I was able to write this whole chapter today and did not want to make you guys wait any longer. Thank you so much msFlaneur.
Lorenzo pulled back from the kiss and smiled down at Elena. The tears had stopped, she did not exactly look happy, but he could work with that. He felt like they were finally getting to the point they should have been three years ago. Lorenzo was not delusional he knew it was his fault; his fault alone that it took this long. All that mattered to him was that they were finally getting there.
"I should be home at a decent time tonight." Lorenzo still smiled down at her.
"Ok." Elena looked up at him with the forced smile that Lorenzo knew all too well, he raised his eyebrow at her. "I'll see you tonight." She pulled back then walked around him to the door.
Lorenzo's eyes followed her body as he turned his own to face the way she had been walking. The sway of her hips had drove him nuts no matter how many times he saw it, but he had to stay in control. This was definitely not the time or place to let his hormones take over. Something told him she was still mad and he was confused. Had they not just resolved everything between them.
"Elena." Lorenzo's voice was low and soft, she stopped walking and slowly looked over her shoulder at him. "Are you still mad at me?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" Elena turned to fully face him as she crossed her arms over her chest. "What was just said between us right now does not change the fact that you hid something I should have been told about. You have allowed my sister to live on your compound..."
"Our compound." Lorenzo said in a tired voice, correcting her words.
"Whatever, you have allowed my sister to live at the compound and date one of your men, all while feeling that it wasn't a big deal that I didn't know any of this." She said sounding mad again. "I'm your wife, something you have reminded me on more than one occasion, you should have said something to me two weeks ago."
"Elena, I explained this already." Lorenzo said shaking his head.
"I heard your explanation and it doesn't change the fact that you should have said something to me or made them do it much sooner." She turned and walked out the door before he could respond to her.
Lorenzo was irritated that he got himself stuck in the middle of this shit with Elena. He knew Elena should have been told about this a while ago but things kept getting in the way. Lorenzo quickly called Tony letting him know that things with Elena and Gino were not any better yet and it would not be smart to let them leave together. Tony agreed, deciding to leave Gino with Lorenzo and he would go with her. They had just been going through books and settling issues that he was not really needed for anyways.
Elena did not want to be mad at Lorenzo, but she also did not want to let him off easy, things would never change if she did. If things were going to work between them then they needed to trust each other and that was the hardest thing for her to do. Trust didn't come easy for Elena when it came to Lorenzo, he had done so much in the last three and half years and that made it too hard for her to truly trust him yet. When she got out to the restaurant area again she glanced around for her escort home, more like her entourage. Tony was walking towards her as he hung up his phone, a smile plastered across his face.
"Where are we headed?" he asked coming to a stop in front of her.
"Why are you coming with me and not Gino?" she asked raising an eyebrow at him. "You're supposed to be with Lorenzo."
