The babble quieted as White hurried into the room.
By the illumination of torches, we could barely see silhouettes of tables and each other in the large cafeteria room, in which we congregated for an emergency meeting.
"What's going on? Is something wrong? Are we in danger?" Purple gave a rapid fire of questions in her panic. She was, let's say, easily frightened.
White held up his hands. His code name was Spaced, but it was easier just to call him White. He was incredibly pale, and had white hair and pink eyes. He was albino, one of the rarer races of the Us Universe. He was kinda like the group leader when Captain wasn't around, calm and good at rallying us together.
"Relax, please." His pale skin seemed almost ghostly underneath the light of the flickering flames. "I believe we are in no immediate danger."
"Where is Captain?" Green asked. "Isn't he supposed to be here to support us in this 'time of crisis?'" Her dark green makeup was as perfect as ever.
"This is no time for bickering and comments," White said seriously. "We need to find out how to solve this power outage."
"I bet Captain is working on it right now, since he's not here," Red said.
"What can we do?" Orange asked calmly. "We need to figure this out, especially since we won't be able to open the doors until the power is back."
"Oh stars," I gasped, "That means we can't leave The Skeld."
Purple whimpered.
"Pull it together," Blue said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "If we stay calm we can figure this out."
He gave Purple his absolutely over-the-moon charming smile. He was popular, outside The Skeld and in. TOADM was his code name, short for Theory of a Dead Man, the singer who wrote the song Angel that I loved even before meeting him. His blue hair and blue skin was dark enough to kinda blend him in with the darkness.
And yes I have a crush on him. Shush, don't judge.
Lime reached over and gave me a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder. I gave my brother a nervous smile. He winked and stuck his tongue out at me.
I stifled a snicker.
"That's a good plan," Orange said, bringing my attention back.
"Alright, we spread out, and try to find the locations of the problems. We'll mark them on a map once we return. After that we'll get Captain. Agreed?"
"Agreed," Black said, nodding.
"Same here," Yellow said cheerfully. Some how still cheerful despite the black out and the loss of her Tik Tok.
One by one, Orange, White, Red, Purple, Blue, Green, and my brother conceded to the plan. For better or worse, we were going to try and solve this problem.

I screamed as my alarm went off.
"Cyan!" Lime shouted. "Are you alright? Where are you?"
"I- I'm fine, just surprised by the alarm," I responded in a wavering voice, checking the device. It read, Emergency Meeting, called by White.
"Meet you at the Cafeteria?" he shouted, his voice echoing through the countless hallways and rooms that wound through the east side of The Skeld.
"Alright."
Following the map that White had managed to upload into our ports, I quickly made my way back to the Cafeteria, about the same time as Lime.
