"It's one of us though!" Blue said, running his hands through his disheveled hair in frustration. "We can't just not skip, especially not after, you know, two..." he trailed off, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands.
I sighed, pressing my forehead against the table. We had been here for hours now, arguing over who it was.
"Are you volunteering yourself?" Lime muttered.
"What? No!"
Lime shrugged. "Was worth asking." He laid his head onto the table before continuing to stare off into space.
With those words, he had said maybe a total of three sentences the whole time we were here.
"Well," White said with a sigh. "I don't really know what to do."
Blue looked at each of the members of the table.
"If I had to choose, it would be Green," he muttered.
"What?!" she exclaimed.
"You've been kinda quiet, and we've barely seen anything of you since the last meeting for... Red."
I bit my lip. "I guess that makes sense," I said quietly.
"No! Guys, it wasn't me!!!"
"We don't have proof," White said, leaning back in his chair. If possible, he looked worse than when we saw him before he departed to check on the other crewmates.
"The imposters are being really efficient," I said, fiddling with the edge of my jacket.
White grimaced, and from the look on his face, I was pretty sure he was thinking about Red.
He blamed himself, that much was obvious. Even though any of us could have come to that conclusion.
The situation was all too similar.
"If we're right, this could seriously give us an advantage," Blue said softly.
"And if we're wrong," White said grimly. "It could mean the end."
A heavy silence.
"I don't care," Lime muttered. "whatever you guys guess."
Blue gulped. "I--"
Green slumped into her chair, looking defeated.
"Just vote me out," she said. "We all know I'm the eventual choice."
Lime didn't reply. He kept staring off into nowhere. I wondered idly if he was even paying attention. Probably not. If my sister died, I would most likely act the same.
"Vote Green," Blue muttered.
"Vote Green," White said.
"Vote Green," I sighed.
Lime didn't even respond. He looked very lost and very sad, his pale emerald eyes empty.
White gave me a meaningful look, his eyes sliding back to Lime.
I nodded, sliding into a seat by Lime. He didn't react. White slowly left the room, with Green and Blue in tow.
Lime shivered as a draft wafted into the room. I gently wrapped my arms around him. He cringed.
"Sorry," I murmured.
He didn't reply, only tugged his legs closer to his chest and scooted away.
He was so distant now.
...
I was worried about him.
^+^+^+^+^
"Well?" I asked.
Blue pursed his lips and shook his head.
How? How had we gotten that so wrong?
I looked at Blue and White. It had to be them. It couldn't be Lime. Well, I could, but I highly doubt it.
"So. There's two of us who aren't imposters," I said, voice tight.
"Right," White said, voice flat. He looked just as lifeless as Lime.
"I'm fixing the thrice-blasted reactor," Blue grumbled, grabbing a wrench off the table.
I nodded. "I'll hit the Electric room, I guess."
"Right," White said, "I'll be in Weapons. You know..."
I grimaced. "Yeah."
Lime didn't move, and I realized that he had fallen asleep.
"Oh... He's... asleep," Blue said softly, following my gaze.
None of us really knew what to say. Two of us here couldn't be trusted, and I could already feel the longs months of trust slipping away.
"I'll, see you around, I guess," Blue said uncertainly. He turned and jogged out of the room.
I watched him go silently. Could it really be one one of these three who were still here? It didn't seem possible.
Oof. RIP Green. I honestly didn't really like her much as a character compared to the others. Lol, I made my favorite color my least favorite characters. There is something wrong with myself and this idea guys. >: ) (I enjoy this tho. And ur guyz reactions)
