Chapter 2

Amity POV:

I quickly opened my eyes and rubbed them. Expecting to see Luz and the forest in front of me I was met with my room. I looked over to my side and saw a glass I picked the glass up. "It's empty" I mumbled to myself. "Might as well refill it".

I held onto the glass and got out of my bed. I quickly walked to my door and opened it. I walked out into the hallway noticing the dark and quietness. The quiet was quickly broken by a loud banging sound coming from my parents room. Instead of walking downstairs I decided to investigate. I walked to their rooms and opened the door. I walked around for a bit only being greeted with darkness.

Not soon after I heard a growling from behind me. I turned around and was meet with my fathers face. His appearance was closely matching to a werewolf startling me so much I fell backwards dropping the glass breaking it. I was soon met with my mother who appeared with a spell circle around her arm. I soon made eye contact with her "you should be in bed young lady." My mother said with a tone that would scare any young child.

As soon as I knew it she was drawing a spell in the air "this is for your own good." She mumbled. I closed my eyes tight not wanting to witness what was about to happen to me. But when I opened my eyes back up I was met with Luz's face. With tears dripping down my face I spilled out "I remember now...I can't stop it" my voice getting shakier every word. Luz's face showed a sign of concern and confusion "amity what's wrong?" She said her tone soft.

"Luz. You need to get out of here." The humans faced was confused "no I'm not leaving you". "You need to tell me what's wrong so I can help" her voice was more concerned then I ever heard her. My vision blurry from my tears I slowly reached my arm up to her shirt and gripped on to it tight "Luz please". I gripped onto her shirt harder my grip tense "stop being selfless for once in your life...And just go."

I could see Luz's face turn pale and getting more concerned. She quickly got up her legs noticeably shaking and her eyes wide. "Okay." She manages to sputter out "but please just stay safe". The human turned her attention away from me and started sprinting for her life.
