Neil was finding avni in college thinking she must be waiting for him. He called her so many times but her phone had been switched off it made him more angry. He saw her friend Ananya and went near her.

Neil: hey Ananya do you know where is avni?

Ananya: vo toh ghar chali gayi

Neil: oh okay thank you

She smiled and went from there. She badly wanted to talk about avni to neil but she knew neil would handle everything.

Neil: ghar chali gayi aur bataya bhi nahi aur mai yaha usse pagalo ki Tarah dhundh raha hu

He chuckled thinking about his kiddo. Neil used to call her kiddo sometimes. Because she was not less than a kid when it comes to chocolate, food or ice cream and stubbornness. He directly went to her home and bumped with neela on his way to her room.

Neela: oho aaram se neil kaha jaane ki itni jaldi hai

Neil: vo sorry aunty mai bas avni ke pass jaa raha tha

Neela: avni ghar aa gayi pata bhi nahi chala ajeeb ladki hai ye

Neil also felt it weird because avni could never stay quiet and her loud sentence I AM HOME after coming from college every day was its evident but today she just went directly to her room.

Neil: don't worry aunty mai dekhta hu btw ashish uncle ghar par toh nahi hai na?

Neela: okay mai tum dono ke liye snacks bhijvati hu and no ashish is out of town for some work don't worry

Neil: cool

Ashish never allowed any boy near avni. He is very strict when it comes to avni and seeing his this side no girl dared to be friends with avni that's why she has only neil and juhi in the name of friends. But he couldn't stop neil because neil is his best friend prakash's son. Ashish respect him and his family a lot and when he saw avni's happiness with neil he let her stay like this but he was still very strict on neil when it comes to avni.

He ran upstairs and neela went to kitchen. Neil opened the door of her room and peeked in. He saw her lying on bed on her stomach and could hear her sob. He quietly sat on the bed beside her and caressed her hair avni stopped crying but didn't turn.

Neil: avi kya hua? Kisine kuch kaha? College mai kuch hua? Bolna kya hua maine bola tha na ham saath mai ghar jayenge phir kyun aa gayi akeli huh

She kept quiet, her head facing other side. He Sighed and kissed her head softly. Avni bit her lips to control her sob but her body was trembling. Neil frowned seeing her like this, she never ignored him.

He hovered over her slightly and pulled her close wrapping his one hand around her neck.

His lips buried in her hair and she clutched his arm that was wrapped around her neck.

Neil: mujhse koi galati ho gayi hai to I am sorry but please ro mat yaar

Avni closed her eyes feeling him. She just wanted an assurance that he would never leave her. When she calmed down he thought to divert her mind.

Neil: accha tune dress select ki farewell party ke liye?

Hearing farewell her mind recalled the morning incident. Where neil was asking the same question to juhi. She came out from his grip and sat up on the bed wiping her tears.

Neil also got up and turned her face holding her chin.

Neil: ab bata kyun itna ro rahi thi

She stared at him for a moment then looked down.

Avni: kuch nahi ese hi mood kharab tha

Neil: pakka

Avni: hmm

Neil: to has ke dikha come on laugh laugh

He started tickling her and she couldn't control her laugh. Neil also joined her in laughing and both fell on the mattress.

Avni tilted her face and both looked into each other's eyes.

Avni: tu mujhe kabhi chod ke toh nahi jayega na?

Neil smiled and pulled her in his arms.

Neil: no never my kiddo

But who knows destiny's plan it can turn the tables anytime.

Avni was still looking dull. Don't know what happened to her suddenly neil thought. He made her ready forcefully for the shopping so that he could divert her mind. She agreed but half heartedly and was happy too that she would spend some time with her neil. Yes her neil she realised her feelings. She realised why did she feel bad when she saw neil and juhi together. She realised neil is not her best friend anymore. She realised everything but somewhere she knew neil wouldn't share the same with her.

He doesn't love her. He love someone else and this thought is enough to break her more. They reached mall and neil dragged her to the shop. He selected some dress and said her to try them. She did what she had been told and came out wearing red plain off shoulder gown. Neil walked towards her and pulled her cheeks getting aww looking at her.

Neil: wow avi you are looking so cute

Avni: but neil you know na I don't like this type of dresses I will wear jeans and top

Neil: no you will wear only this and that's final now come help me to select my outfit

Avni: okay

They went to men section and shopkeeper showed them some outfits. Neil was confused so avni helped him she chose a white t shirt with black blazer. Neil also liked it. Suddenly he saw juhi on the same floor. He excused himself and ran to her.

Avni saw all this and smiled sadly. Neil also brought her to the shop.

Juhi: tum dono mere bina hi aagay shopping karne

Neil: oh madam aap bhi toh yaha hamare bina aayi

Juhi: tum dono ko kitne call kiye maine but kisi ne phone hi nahi uthaya toh mai hi aa gayi yaha

Neil: oh we forgot to carry our phone

Juhi: it's ok kya select kiya phir

Neil showed her his outfit. He thought something and whispered in juhi's ear.

Neil: btw tumhari dress konse colour ki hai

Juhi: kyun

Neil: just asking

Juhi: white

Neil: okay

Then he chose white blazer for him keeping the black one aside and winked at juhi. She understood why he asked her the colour of her outfit and blushed looking down. Avni couldn't control her flowing emotions and went outside the shop silently.

Tears made their way out of her eyes unknowingly. She doesn't have any control over her emotions now she couldn't lose her only best friend. Her feelings crushed brutally losing to love of her life. Neil came there shouting for her. He was panting heavily and was looking so angry when he didn't find avni anywhere.

As soon as he came to her he engulfed her tightly hitting her head softly.

Neil: idiot I got so scared why you came here without informing me huh?

Avni stood silent not knowing how to react. At one moment he would unknowingly hurt her and another moment showing his care towards her made it more difficult for her to stay away from him.

They drove to their respective houses but avni's changed behaviour didn't go unnoticed by neil. Tomorrow is gonna be so difficult for them especially for avni that will change everything.
