He never knew his heart would be incapable of functioning in absence of someone. It was beating but he was like a dead soul without her. He never knew his one mistake would cost him worse situation of his life. Mistake of not being aware of his girl's feelings. Mistake of considering the so called infatuation as love. Mistake of going away from the person he was devoted to but unfortunately could not figured out that. Neil had been lost thinking about those 2 years that changed everything.

He was happy at least that bad phase of his life ended, now he could go to her and could confess that how much she meant to him. Without avni there is no neil. When he started missing her more after landing at London his mind started recalling all the moments that they had spent. Her beautiful doe shaped eyes that never lies, her soft and silky hair that he always wants to smell and touch, her captivating smile that could cure his muddled heart and soul. Everything about her was just extraordinary but he failed to Express his love.

Neil: I know avi you also love me that's why you were disappointed and sad seeing me with juhi. I was so so stupid but whatever I may be I am only yours just few hours more after that I will be there with you.

He looked outside of the window watching the beautiful clouds amidst the sky. He was currently sitting in a plane flying off to Mumbai. Every minute, every second was like a decade to him. He could not believe he had spent 2 years without her and now he could not even wait for a moment.

Juhi was also in the same plane. She had his eyes on him all the time not believing how much he changed. To Neil's luck they landed in Mumbai and he came out of the airport smiling widely. His father prakash Khanna was standing there waiting for him.

They hugged each other tightly meeting after 2 years. Prakash patted his back and broke the hug.

Prakash: neil my boy how are you

Neil: good dad, how are you

Prakash: I am also good. But you are alone where is juhi

Neil looked down then left to right and saw juhi going with her parents. They had come to pick her up. Prakash also watched them.

Neil: dad come now I want to meet mom and avi

His tone was filled with only happiness and excitement. Prakash Sighed and nodded. They got into the car and drove to Khanna mantion. Neil was constantly blabbering and asking about only avni to prakash since they had been sitting in the car.

Prakash was avoiding looking at him and just said him to stay calm. After sometime they reached to their destination and neil immediately got out going towards the avni's house but prakash called him halting his steps.

Prakash: neil at least meet your mother first she is waiting for you since so long

Neil looked down in guilt and nodded. He looked at her house one last time and both entered inside their home. Shweta was standing at the doorstep waiting for them. As soon as she saw Neil she hugged him tightly crying in his embrace. Neil consoled her and wiped her tears softly.

Neil: mom this is how will you welcome me? With your tears?

Shweta: chup kar ek to pure 2 saal baad  gale lag rahi hu aur rone bhi nahi deta mujhe ( shut up. After whole 2 years I am hugging you and you aren't even letting me cry )

She sniffed making neil chuckled. Trio entered inside and neil settled down on the couch. He could not restrain himself from asking about avni.

Neil: mom call avni na. I am dying to see her. Where is she? Do you know I haven't talked to her since 2 years. Whenever I tried calling her phone had been unreachable. You also didn't say anything about her.

They could sense his desperation and urgency in Neil's tone. Shweta and prakash looked at each other and Sighed. Shweta sat beside neil and put her hand on his shoulder.

Shweta: ( whimpering ) neil tere jaane ke baad yaha bohot kuch badal gaya ( neil after you had gone everything got changed)

Neil's forehead creased. He didn't want to think any negative thoughts but watching his mother's state he couldn't help but just prayed internally not wanting to hear any such thing.

Neil: ( pleading) mom what do you mean? Where is avni?

Shweta: ( crying) beta vo ashish, ashish bhaishab ab nahi rahe ( ashish ji is no more )

Neil could not believe what he just heard. He quickly stood up shaking his head. His eyes turned red and tears started streaming off his eyes. His forehead turned sweaty and breath ragged not comprehending the news.

Neil: ( shouted) mom what the hell are you speaking. Kuch bhi bol rahi hai aap

Prakash: neil yahi sach hai

Prakash came ahead when he saw neil was in a state of shock. Neil looked at him with bloodshot red eyes and went closer.

Neil: accha toh aapne mujhe bataya kyun nahi? Dad please it's not a thing to joke please I request you

He said joining his hands. Whatever they said was just unbelievable for neil. Prakash hugged him and let out a sob thinking about that day.

After a while neil was sitting on the floor emotionless. Shweta was caressing his hair crying silently and prakash just watched them.

Shweta: she cried a lot. For her It was like everything ended. And neela, her state was also same. 6 months ago he suffered from heart attack, we were with him and he got fine also after the treatment but then he got heart attack for the second time. After that he couldn't survive ( neil closed his eyes tightly) Avni's grandmother wanted to take avni and neela along with them. We tried a lot to make her understand that we will look after them but she didn't agree and took them with her to their village.

Shweta broke down at last and cried on his shoulder remembering that day. Neil was still speechless. It was like the floor swept away from his feet. He was so excited to give surprise to avni but here he got the biggest shock of his life. His life his avni would be in so much pain, but he wasn't there to consol her, to look after her.

What would have been avni's state? He could not even imagine. The thought itself scared him. Then for avni it would have been a biggest nightmare. Neil stood up abruptly and wiped away his tears harshly.

Neil: 6 mahine pehle itna sab kuch ho gaya aur aapne mujhe bataya tak nahi ( 6 months ago this much happened and you didn't even tell me )

He looked at them accusing. Prakash went near him and looked down in guilt.

Prakash: we knew you would not be able to handle yourself and that time your mid exam was going so we didn't tell you

Neil: ( in disbelief) dad!

Neil looked away clearly frustrated, broken and what not!

Neil: I am going to meet avni and will come only after she will get ready to come with me. Mom where do they live? I need to leave now itself. Dad please arrange everything. I will be back after having a shower.

Saying this he went to his room leaving his parents shocked yet happy. They looked at each other and smiled with moist eyes.
