I can't lie that I don't miss you
Our childhood friendship, you outgrew
Now I see you happy with your crew
How I wish we could turn old back to newPromises written in sand rather than stone
Disappearing immediately the wind blows
Once in a while, maybe small talk over the phone
But far from how it was beforeRemember those bracelets we made together
The ones we treated like precious treasure
They read in bold 'best friends forever'
But now it's more like best friends wheneverPeople say good things come from a fight
But how comes ours left so much of a bite
It's my birthday next week, I sent an invite
Maybe you can fit it in your schedule that seems so tight
