Chapter 14: Glimpse Of Past

It has been three days since Aanav is gone and I'm missing him very badly. I couldn't sleep without him on the first night. On the second night, I hugged his clothed and fell asleep. I spend these days in the packhouse helping anywhere I could. Zara spends her days in Aakav's office doing as much work she could. I knew that she could be one of the greatest Luna. And Ivy, she spends her day everywhere. I mean there's not one place she hadn't explored. Starting from the terrace to the gates.

Every time Aanav is free he calls me and talks with me for thirty minutes. I tell him everything that I did and in the end, he says that he is proud of me. I even got to know what is Alpha Summit from the books. It's like a meeting of the Alpha's which is held once a year. For this information, I have to go through 50 books.

Today from the morning I have a feeling that something is not right there in the Alpha Summit. So in the evening, I called him to check on him. He picked up on the fifth ring.

"Is everything okay there? Are you okay? Why are not saying something? Are you getting my voice?" I bombarded him with questions.

"Cool down Willa. Everything is okay here. I'm okay. I was not talking because you didn't give me the chance to talk," he said.

"Now tell me are you missing me this much that you called me?" He asked. Before I could reply to him I heard Aakav saying," Aanav, come fast there has been an attack."

"Hello? Aanav?"

"Willa, I'll call you later," with that he cut my call.

By each passing second, I became more worried. I helped in the kitchen to make dinner for the pack. After having some soup for my dinner I went to our room and waited for his call or message. But I didn't receive one and somehow I fell asleep on the chair by the window.

Aanav P.O.V.

I was talking to Willa on the phone when I got the news that a group of rogues is in the front of the border. This is the stupidest of them to come here. I mean all Alphas and Betas are here. And if they attack us we can easily win as an Alpha could easily kill 20 wolves at once and a Beta can kill 15 wolves. I went our and saw at least 200 wolves standing.

One of them went behind a tree and came out. It was a girl.

"I just wanted to warn all the Alphas present here that a war would begin soon," she paused and look at all of us. "And the first pack we will attack is Blood Moon Pack." She looked at Aakav with fury in her eyes. Aakav also matched her level.

"But why?" I asked to break their staring contest.

"Because your Alpha killed my brother," she said.

"And your brother killed her," he said. I could see the pain in his eyes. I know he loves her more than anything in this world. The girl rolled her eyes.

"I don't want to fight here, I want to have a battle in the Battleground," she declared.

"And you think you can defeat us with 200 rogues," Aakav said with a smirk. Our pack is larger than them, that's for sure.

"And you think this is my army. My army us even bigger than this. We will attack you after two days," she announced. Then she shifted and went away with her companions.

After this little drama, we held a meeting in the conference room. All the Alphas wanted to help us but Aakav declined their offer. He said that it's his battle he had to fight it alone without any alliance. It has been always like this. Blood Moon never involved another pack in it's fight. But they help another pack if they ask for it. That's why Blood Moon is recognised as one of the strongest Pack.

"Aanav, pack your bags, we will leave tomorrow. And make sure to inform Enzo to get ready for a war. And don't tell Willa anything about this on phone. We will tell this to them after we return to the pack," he said when we wanted the conference room.

Aakav P.O.V.

I went into my room and stood by the window. "Aadhira, this time I'll take the revenge of your death," I said looking at the moon. She was the moon of our pack even the meaning of her name is Moon.

I closed my eyes and I saw her face and the time we spent together.

"Aakav, I'll always love you. You are my superhero," she said with a small smile and took her last breath in my arms.

"Aadh, Aadh no-no, Aadhira open your eyes. Talk to me. I swear I'll always listen to you," I said trying my best to make her open her brown eyes. My tears were flowing freely.

"Aakav she will not open her eyes," Aanav said and put his hand on my shoulder. I pushed his hand away.

"What are you saying? She will open her eyes. She is doing this only for fun. She will open her eyes," I said but I don't know to whom I said this. To me or him.

"Aakav, she is dead," he announced. Although I don't want to believe him I know it's true.

"Aadhira," I yelled hugging her lifeless body.

I opened my eyes and ribbed the tears which had slid down from my eyes. Even now I remembered the day I lost her. I love her more than anything in this world. I love her more than Zara.

I went to the bed and laid on it and looked at the Moon. The Moon is the only thing which makes me feel like she's near me. I love you Aadhira was the last thought I had before sleep overtook me.
