Celebration

Harry wrote to Sirius almost everyday. He couldn't help it. The thought of almost losing him last year was hard enough. Besides, Sirius obviously didn't seem to mind.

Harry still had detention with Snape. So he sadly has to miss today's match. A match in which Remus and Sirius were both coming to watch.

The only good thing about Voldemort finally being recognized as being alive and coming back to power is that Sirius finally had his name cleared. He is a free man. Just as he should be.

Now Sirius and Remus came to watch the match to support Harry's team, despite wether or not Harry himself was playing. Harry was the Gryffindor team captain. This was his team.

   Harry finished his detention, and he began to make his way to the common room.

   Nervous to hear the outcome of the match, he entered through the open portrait hole.

   To Harry's surprise everyone was celebrating.

   'No way.' Harry thought.

    "We won!" yelled Ron, "We won! Four hundred and fifty to a hundred forty! We won!"

   Harry was in shock. He looked around to see Hermione.

   "Congratulations Harry!" said Hermione happily.

   "Why are you saying it to me? I didn't even play." Harry said sadly. He wished he got to play.

   "But you are their captain. You picked this team and you trained them well." she told him.

   Harry smiled and took the compliment.

   Hermione gave him a hug. Harry looked around again. Observing the large scale celebration in the common room.

   Then he saw Ginny.

   Harry's heart began to race and his stomach dropped. Why couldn't these stupid feelings just chill out.

   She got closer, and closer, and closer until suddenly...

   Harry felt himself press his lips against hers.

   'Oh! What am I doing!?' Harry panicked to himself. He wanted to break away and apologize to her immediately until he realized that she wasn't trying to break away. In fact, she was leaning in. Deepening the kiss.

   Harry couldn't believe this. He didn't want it to end.

   Remus and Sirius were walking in the direction of the Gryffindor common room. As they walked closer, a loud roar of Gryffindor students erupted from inside.

   They entered through the portrait hole to participate in the celebration.

   The stood behind a large crowd of Gryffindor students. Confused as to what could possibly create such a event other than Quidditch.

   Remus and Sirius made their way to the front of the crowd. When they reached the front they had a clear view of the scene.

   Harry James Potter was kissing Ginny Weasley.

   Remus and Sirius' eyes grew wide.

   Harry and Ginny finally broke apart. They looked at each other. Ginny smiled as she looked up at Harry's red face. Ginny held back a laugh.

   Harry and Ginny looked at Hermione. Her eyes shining brightly and she displayed the biggest smile anyone had ever seen.

   They turned to Ron, who looked as though he had been hit on the head. His jaw seemed to hang almost to the floor. He did just witness his best friend kissing the daylights out of his little (and only) sister.

   Ron shrugged at the two of them. Harry smiled as Ginny rolled her eyes at Ron playfully. He may have been her brother, but he seemed to think he had the authority to control her life.

   Suddenly, the portrait of the Fat Lady swung open and Harry and Ginny ran out into the corridors.

   Harry quickly passed Remus and Sirius as he left with Ginny. His face plastered with a look of ecstasy.

   Remus and Sirius noticed Hermione on the opposite side of the room and made their way over to her.

   "What just happened?" Sirius asked Hermione who looked still had a big smile on her face.

   "Well. Everyone was celebrating, and then Harry showed up and just kissed Ginny in front of the entire common room." Hermione laughed.

   "Have Harry and Ginny been together and didn't tell anybody?" Remus asked curiously.

   "He wouldn't, would he?" Sirius answered slightly hurt.

   "Oh No. Of course not. But he has obviously had a crush on her all year. I mean, I totally knew it. He's always looking at her, asking if she and Dean had broken up yet, and he just acts absolutely stupid around her in my opinion." Hermione laughed.

   "Sounds familiar doesn't it, Pads?" Remus laughed as he nudged Sirius' arm. Sirius laughed as well.

   Hermione's attention was caught by Ron from across the room.

   "Ugh. Would you just look at him!" Hermione groaned, "Pathetic!"

   "I'm guessing he never noticed Harry's lil' crush on his sister, huh?" Sirius asked.

   "Apparently not. Even though it was so obvious. Why am I surprised? He and Harry never notice anything, do they?" Hermione told them, "Looks like I've got to go talk some sense into him."

   Ron looked a mixture of disbelief and anger. Remus and Sirius could agree he seemed a bit over dramatic.

   Sirius and Remus looked at each other. They laughed silently and began walking again.

   Sirius and Remus were walking outside the castle when they noticed Harry and Ginny from a distance sitting by the lake. They watched as the two talked. They seemed happy.

   Harry in particular seemed the happiest either Remus or Sirius had ever seen him. Quite possibly the happiest he had ever been in a very long time.

   Suddenly Ginny pulled out her wand discreetly so Harry couldn't see and magically splashed some water on him.

   Harry jumped then looked at Ginny mischievously.

   "Oh it's on, Weasley!" Harry shouted and suddenly he magically splashed a larger amount of water on Ginny.

   The two roared with laughter. Harry and Ginny stood up and then without thinking twice, Ginny pushed Harry into the lake.

   Harry stood up, completely soaked, and roaring with laughter. Ginny laughed so hard that she fell to the ground.

   Remus and Sirius looked at each other. The two of them smiled brightly. They couldn't help but feel extremely happy for Harry and Ginny. They seemed perfect for each other. It was what the two deserved.

   They were sure Lily and James would've been so happy for Harry. Happier than Sirius and Remus felt combined.

   It was a bittersweet thought. Just knowing that they never got to see their son experience these magical moments in life.

   But the fact that Harry has the chance to even experience them despite his rough life, was all they wanted for him.
