14 - The Stairs

You walk into the kitchen to see Jimin and Jungkook sitting at the kitchen island "morning" you say as you walk in and start to make yourself a bowl of cereal,

"When did you and tae come home last night?" You ask Jimin as you pour milk over your cereal,

"It might have been like 3:00?" He says making you turn to look at him, you widen your eyes and let out a little laugh "what?" He says trying to defend himself in a way "what happened with you and Jungkook? I saw him passed out on the couch this morning" Jimin laughs a little patting Jungkook on the back who seems to be having a hard time, he holds his head in his hands while his elbows are on the island,

You scoff as if you don't know what happened last night and slide a glass of water and a pill to Jungkook, he looks up and makes eye contact with you, his eyes are red and his hair is messy, he takes the pill placing it in his mouth and uses the water to wash it down "why was I even on the couch? And how did I get there?" He asks in a sleepy voice

Your heart shatters once you hear what he just said, you stare at him as he finishes the glass of water.

Of course he doesn't remember. Why would he?

"Mina?" Jimin says looking at you with concern "you ok?" He says waving a hand in your face,

You snap out of it and look very at him giving him a smile "I'm fine" you say and turn around to grab your bowl of cereal, you walk over to the couch and toss your phone onto the coffee table making Jungkook jump a little, you turn the tv on and turn on some random show as you start to eat your now slightly soggy cereal.

You spin in circles on your gaming chair in your room, with nothing to do since you were all alone cause all the guys went to dance practice you decide to just turn some music on and sing a little, you play a song from your computer and sing to it.

You suddenly remember the song you wrote down last night after the incident with Jungkook, you grab your notebook and open the page with the lyrics on it, you then remember the melody you had saved onto your computer not long ago so you play that and start to sing some of the lyrics lightly.

You fix the song a little by adjusting a few things then you go to record yourself. You start to play the music and you wait for your queue.

Jungkook opens the door to the apartment and steps inside taking his coat and shoes off as he closes the door behind him, he places his phone onto the little table beside the door and hangs his coat up.

He picks his phone up and begins to walk towards his bedroom, he stops in his tracks when we hears music coming from your room, he slowly but surely walks up to your bedroom door that is slightly open stands there for a minute waiting for you to sing,

He listens closely to your angelic voice, then it hits him.

Another thing hits him when he remembers last night, he was drunk and he told you he loved you. That's why his eyes were so red in the morning.

His heart stops in his chest. He is confused at first, but then realizes that he knew you had feelings for him a long time ago, he just never did anything about it.

Jungkook quickly composes himself and quietly runs to the front door.

A tear rolls down your cheek once you finish the song, you stop recording and save it into your computer. You sit down on your bed and just look at the wall for a while, you suddenly hear the door open and close indicating that someone is home.

You wipe the rest of your tears away and look in the mirror to make sure your eyes aren't red. You walk down the hall and see Jungkook place his shoes in the shoe rack beside the door "hey" he says a little out of breath

"Why are you out of breath? Did you run home?" You laugh and he shakes his head lightly,

"No just the... the stairs" he nods his head, the atmosphere becomes awkward while you two stand there in silence "I've been meaning to ask you" he says catching you off guard "would you like to come dance with me and the guys at the studio?"

Again with the dancing...

"Jungkook you know I don't danc-"

"Yes I know but you could learn, we would love to have another member in the studio" he says trying to convince you,

You sigh giving up "fine, I'll try it. But if I don't like it I'm leaving immediately" you say turning around and walking to the kitchen,

"Wait it was that easy?" He laughs catching up to you as you both walk into the kitchen.
