She had just arrived with her sisters in a horse-drawn carriage. Though, there were seven of them, so they took three carriages. The one Arabella rode in had her, her sister Joy, and her sister, Abigail.
It had been a few hours, and the soldiers had just arrived to the party.
Arabella laughed as one of her sisters, Hannah, charmed all of those boys, that was, until she saw someone;
The boy.
She was finally relieved; Someone she knew! Well, sort-of knew. But, nonetheless, she went to walk up to him, when she saw her sister, Abbey as she called her, staring at him. She was helpless. Arabella could tell.
"Ooh, do you like him?", she joking asked, though she hoped she did not like him.
"W-what? O-Of course not!", she said, flustered.
"Sure~"
She, against her own judgment, walked up to him, taking his arm.
Her sister, meanwhile, panicked.
"Arabella Smith", she said, curtseying.
"O-Oh- Hi there- I'm John Miller-", he said, stuttering.
"Wait.. have we met before? Yes! The teashop- Of course!", he said.
"Aha, yes, Mr. Miller. We have met.", she said.
"Well, it's um- Lovely to see you again!"
She pulled him by the arm.
"Wait- Where are we going?"
"I'm about to change your life!"
"Well, lead the way."
"Oh- Abigail Smith- It's a pleasure to meet you!", Abbey said, ecstatic, though visibly nervous.
"Smith?", he questioned.
"My sister!", Arabella strained, though kept up her facade.
"Thank you for all your service, Sir.", Abbey continued.
"It's lovely to meet you, too Ms. Smith.", he said, kissing her hand.
"I'll go get a drink, I'll be back.."
Arabella left after she said this, regretfully.
"sigh.."
"It's fine. At least she's happy.", she said, gloomily.
"...it's fine..."
