"HE DID WHAT?!" His voice echoed the hallways... Shit.

"He just wants to treat me out Hunter." I say, but it seems he wasn't taking any of my crap, from the looks of his disappointed face.

"Crickette, of all the guys here in Millersville, why HIM?!" Okay, now he was raising his voice at me. I flinched a little, not expecting his anger to reach its high.

"It's not like I'm already getting married!" I tried to convince him that all was innocent between me and Harry. That nothing was going on whatsoever, but he seemed too blind by his anger.

"Crick," He held me by my shoulders leaning down so we were at eye-level, concern running through his blue eyes. All I could do was look into his, ignoring the stares we were getting.

"I don't like him and I don't trust him. This is the second time we've had an intense conversation. It doesn't feel right." I had to agree. The first we had a fight, was just about playing in the park. I was 7 then and he was 8. We didn't play together for a week because of our issue who had to swing first. I won because of Afriel  and Hunter cried for a while, only stopping because his mother bought him ice cream. Yes, he was a crybaby back then, and it seems obvious until now.

"Can you just trust me? Please? I promise not to do anything stupid." I plead and he sighed.

"I do trust you. It's him I'm worried about." He lets me go, looking down. Maybe I should tell him...

"I'll just talk to Peter. If you need me, I'll be over there." Fritz walks away from our arguement, leaving me and Hunter alone. I wish I could just walk away myself.

"Hunter, remember the night I had my accident?" He could trust Harry if he just knew what Harry did for me. He only nods but he was listening intently. I could notice him gripping the hem of his shirt, which meant he didn't like the topic.

"How did you find me? How did you find out that I was knocked out?" I cross my arms over my chest. He looks up for a while, trying to remember that night.

"I could remember someone call me, but I didn't really understand what the person on the other line said because I had a little too much to drink. Then, someone just dragged me out there. I couldn't see the face but when he left me at the alley, thats when I saw you, lying there. My friend also knocked out, almost beaten to a pulp. I didn't find the guy anymore, so I called for help." Atleast he was honest about having too much to drink that night. Being too drunk, Harry had to drag him out. I could imagine Hunter looking so red from anger once I tell him who dragged him. Here goes nothing...

"Hunter, it was Harry who called you. He told me, he was also the one who brought you out to find me because you just cursed and laughed at

him through the phone." His eyes narrowed, his mouth slightly open as if he didn't know the exact words to say. Pride runs through his veins at times and I just want to rip it out of him. He looks away from me and I feel silent tension between us. Veins at the side of his neck start to appear.

"I'll see you around, Crickette." He tells me before walking away, unable to accept what I just said. I hope he'll come around soon so we can both settle this. What more would he feel if he knew that I'd still go with Harry despite our drama. I couldn't help giving myself a facepalm being annoyed at him. I started walking to Fritz and once I got to both of them, I smiled at Peter, and he smiled back at me. Besides me, Fritz and Peter were also close, they even share assignments together.  I've noticed this for a long time, Peter had definite feelings for Fritz. Fritz on the other hand would be either too busy with her books or had a crush on a popular guy here. I'm  rooting for Peter, but he just doesn't know.
