Erica's POV

"Come on! It's so simple. You cut his thumb with a pocket knife and see if blood comes out, then we know his blood stream is still working!" I said annoyed.

"I know that! I just don't want to accidentally kill him." Zoe replied.

"Murray. Can you do it?" I asked. 

"Sure thing." he answered. As Murray cut Ben's thumb, everyone gasped.

"What?" I asked, confused. 

"So. If blood comes out does that mean he's alive or dead?" Mike asked.

"Alive." I stated. Then they all started to cry except for Murray and Chip.

"What happened?" I asked worried.

"Mike tell her the news." Chip elbowed Mike's shoulder as he said this.

"O-okay." Mike looked pale. "He's... Dead."(Welp, that's the end for Ben I guess.)

What? Don't believe me?

You should.

Just kidding I could never.

He's... Alive!!!" I hit the breaks so hard Chip hit his head on a chair.

I started crying, but I was crying with joy this time. "Lemme see him then. Chip, you drive."

"Yes ma'am." Chip joked. 

"Ben? Can you hear me?" I asked.

"He's still unconscious." Zoe stated. That was all I needed to hear, I knew what BLAST was trying to do. BLAST was filled with people that hated Ben with every fiber of their being. Operation: Phantom Menace was all to get rid of Ben, they must have known that Murray was watching them. They just didn't give any clues that they did. They fed Murray false information, because then after all of that they could guarantee that Murray would take us all through the route we took, and Ben would be crushed by a building.

"Erica, you have the same look that Ben does when he's figured out what's really happened." Mike said. 

"Yeah, I know I do." I was about to bust the car out of anger. "Murray. You were used, they knew you were watching them, they fed you false information. The only true thing was that the boy's name was Lance. He wasn't the star of the show, you were." Murray only gasped in response. "They could guarantee you would take us through that route if they did everything right. And, they really only wanted Ben dead, BLAST is full of people that hate Ben more than anything else in the world. So, they went with all of this, they played the long game. Our only advantage is that they think Ben's dead."

"I'm going to kill Joshua when we find him!" Mike yelled.

"That might not be as easy as it sounds." Murray said, finally understanding what I was getting at. "He's basically just a hunk of metal at this point, there's no way we could kill him without Ben."

"Why?" I asked, wanting him to explore further. 

"Because, Ben knows Joshua's only weakness. Even though we know it too, only he can exploit it."

"Ding. Ding. Ding."

"Without Ben, Joshua doesn't care about us. When Ben was alive, Joshua always found a way to be there when Ben almost died. So, basically, Ben has to wake up if we want to get Joshua and take him down for good."

"*cough cough*"

"Who coughed?"

"Me, duh" Ben said barley breathing. "Did ya miss me?" I started to cry, again. "Wait, quit crying, I'm alive, this isn't a funeral."

"Yeah but you almost died!" I cried into his shoulder. "Why'd you stop for a moment when you could've kept going?"

"Because, then they'd think I was dead." Ben replied. "They only wanted me. I'm guessing you already figured out the rest so I'm not gonna say it."

"Well, now we need them to know you haven't died. We're gonna make em' all come right to us!" I said, my spirits rising. 

"Then what are waiting for? Let's go get that bastard!" Ben cheered.
