Jogging through the city, the two saw the police station in view of them. Jacob pants as his lungs were burning from the cold freezing air he inhales. He then looks at Claire, seeing she was out of breath. "What, not use to running so much?" he asks her.
She shot a gaze up at him. "How are you so use to it?" she asks him, Jacob shrugs at her. "Self-taught," he answers her. She frowns then stood up, "The station... it's right there." she states, going to make a run for it. But Jacob grabs a hold of her shoulder, pulling her right back. She went to answer him, but he points ahead of them, she looks back and saw zombies were blocking their path to the station. "Hate to say it princess, but we're not getting in through, not with our ammo level," he informs her.
Pulling out a lighter, she shot a glare at him, "And smoking will?" she questions him, but he shot a smirk at her. "I don't smoke, that shit will kill you," he states, holding it. "Then what are you doing?" she questions as he reflects the light off it. "Calling a friend, I think," he answers.
The mysteries figure watches from above the station, seeing Leon and Marvin were conversing about the disaster of the city, Leon even changed into more protective gear. The woman tilts her head at Leon. A... feeling radiates in her chest, something about this man... confused her.
Why did she save him?
What possessed her to clear a path for him?
What whisper settled in her ear to kill those zombies in the hall and slice the officer in half?
Questions arose in her head, consuming her thoughts. Gripping the side of her head, the hot feeling of irritation was radiating in her muscles. This is something, she was not used to.
Worthless.
Hideous.
Monster.
Survival matters most.
The Weak perish,
The Strong prevail.
Helping others, that wasn't her.
It never was her.
But... she never knew who she was,
other than some weapon to be used and locked up like an animal.
Pulling from her thoughts, something shines in her eyes, blinking a few times. She turns back, seeing someone was signaling her. Pulling away from the dome, she steps towards the edge of the station, pulling up her sniper, and looks through the scope.
It was that mercenary she meets the other night, he smiles at her, placing the lighter away that she gave him. She lifted the lighter from her handler before coming to Raccoon City. Man, she enjoyed pissing that man off.
The mercenary signals her, telling her that his and his friend's ammunition was low and needed a way to the station. The woman scopes out the area, seeing zombies were flooded in the area. She pulls out her combat knife and shines the light back at him.
He gave her a thumbs up and waited for the signal, she places her knife away and looks back through her scope, finding her targets and took aim.
Jacob looks back to Claire as she was confused of the whole exchange. "When I give the signal, stay close and run like hell," he tells her, still confused, but she nods at him. They both looked out and waited, then four shots ring out and four zombies dropped. Then four more rings out and four drops, "Go!" he shouts and they both took off running.
