Chapter 15: Escaping to the Getaway Train

Immediately, Leon ran towards the elevator, stepping inside and it takes him down.

Leon looks out the window at the reactor as he passes it, Leon makes it bottom-level and steps out into the security room, looking up at the monitors, they all were out, but one was still functioning, seeing two people were on the fee. "Who's that?" he wonders.

Almost recognizing them both. He looks down at the switch conceal and steps over to the screen in front of him. It flickers at the static, as it shows the two people that were in front of the screen.

We don't have much time left now.

Jacob said over the fee as he was missing his protective vest. "Claire! Jacob!" Leon calls out to them, getting the attention on the screen as they look back at it.

Leon? You're down here too!?

Claire asks as Jacob looks down at the screen "Yeah. But the whole place is coming down." he warns them, looking over at the main screen with the WARING label on it. Then he turns back to the screen. "Listen to me. You need to get out. Fast!" he informs them, Jacob nods at him as he looks back behind them.

We're working on it.

He informs him as Claire looks past him, towards their end of a hall.

Yeah. There's a way out. We can make it.

She assures him, Jacob reloads his rifle and steps out of the view.

Where are you now?

She asks, but the static began to break up. "Claire!? You still there? Jacob!!" he calls out to them.

The fee comes back as Jacob stood next to her, he checks over the screen, trying to get the fee back.

Leon? Hey Leon, you're breaking up...

Leon, are you still there...

They both asked him, but the fee cuts out and broke back onto static "Forget about me! Just get out of here!" he warns her. But the static was too cut up to get the warning through. "Dammit!" he shouts.

Pulling away from the screen, then he looks over towards the exit and immediately ran for it, stepping outside on the side balcony steps and hurries down them. Explosions went off in the distance as he ran towards the only door and hurried into the hall and steps onto the raft elevator, it brought him down to the bottom-level and he immediately steps off and ran for it.

But humanoid plant zombies rise from the ground and limp after him, "Shit!" he swore, pointing back as he fired onto them, knocking them back, he makes it to the side door into the catwalk and he immediately climbs down the ladder.

8 minutes until detonation.

Once he reaches the button, Mr. X drops in and blocks his way out, "Uh... is this a fucking joke?" he rhetorically then pulls out his shotgun and fired at him, making Mr. X in the head and knocks him back.

Leon took his chance and immediately makes a break for it, he steps through the door, shielding his eyes from the exploding fire inside the pipe works, but he kept running, right through the doors, passing the zombies along the way.

He enters through a narrow catwalk and ran straight for the other side, but flames suddenly burst right in front of him, making him skit to a halt, he steps back. Seeing there was no way through and he went to try and double back to find an alternate route.
