Chapter 16: Bye Bye William

They look around the lounge as the alarms were going off, "Are you sure you have her?" Claire asks as they looked around, spying an unlocked door. "Good and tight," he answers, holding onto Sherry. "Good, let's move," she tells him and they both ran towards the door, stepping back out into the bridge and hurried towards the elevator.

Self-destruct sequence initiated.

Use the Central Elevator to evacuate immediately to the bottom-level train platform.

Jacob chuckles to himself, "A train right under Nest. Who knew." he jokes, making Claire chuckle with him and they step in front of the scanner and she places the ID band on the scanner, it accepts them and the door slides open for them "Let's get the hell out of here." Claire states and they quickly step inside the elevator and it began to go down.

The three looked out at the reactor as the explosions were going off, left and right. "Um... Claire, Jacob?" Sherry asks and they both looked at her. "Yeah?" they answer. "Thank you for being so nice to me... for helping me. I'm really glad I met you." she tells them, they smiled at her, "I'm really glad I met you too, Sherry." Claire tells her.

Jacob nods his head at her "Me too. Sherry. Me too." he informs her and looks back out at the reactor as they pass it. "But save your thanks until we get you out of this place," Claire tells her as they reached the button level and looked around the monitor room. They hurried towards the door and immediately step outside inside the side walkway.

Explosions were going off left and right, Jacob shot a look over at them as they hurried through the door. Stepping around on the platform the lift took them down.

Ten minutes until detonation.

Jacob growls as they step off the lift and zombies stood in their way, "Cover your ears!" Jacob tells Sherry and she did so, burying her face into his neck and he fired onto the zombies, with Claire's help and they took them out.

Then ran towards the side door, stepping through it and Claire steps over towards the ladder and climbs down it, Jacob sets Sherry into her feet and she climbs down after Claire, then Jacob hurries down after them and lands on the ground next to them.

He then turns to Sherry and picks her back up into his hold and held her at his hip. "You good?" he asks her, she nods her head at him. Then he looks at Claire. "Let's go," he states and they hurried down the narrow passageway.

Stepping towards the door and Claire jerks at it, "Of course the stupid thing is locked—" she snaps, but Jacob pulls her out of the way and kicks the door wide open. "Now it's not," he states and they hurried through the door.

Nine minutes until detonation.

They run through the burning corridor and hurried through the next door, a burning Zombie stood in their way, but Claire fires at it, taking it out and they hurried to pass it through the next door and into the long catwalk bridge. "Jacob, Sherry. You hangin' in there!?" she calls out to them, "We're right behind you!" Sherry calls out to her.

Claire nods as they ran through the next door and into the open room with the head of a train "Atta girl! We're nearly out of here!" she calls back to them as they ran towards the train.

Eight minutes until detonation

They stop and look up at the train, "Claire! Maybe we can use that!?" Sherry asks them, "Worth a try!" Claire calls back and they step up to the door and enter the head of the train and Claire ran up to the controls.
