Thanks WildChildMary for lending me Angel

On the other hand, though he wasn't as wealthy as he had been, as they had not been able to recover all his fortune, Ville promised to help them out, he was really happy for them.

He could only imagine how they must feel to be newborn parents.

At that moment he hoped that one day he and Maria would also have children. For that was a long forgotten dream for him ever since he lost his wife and baby so long ago.

Months passed as Diana got bigger and bigger and Peter would literally rush to her side every day after guard duty.

Though she was working from within their estate he still fussed over her. Upon the birth of Olive and Elsie, Peter was elated.

Yet all he did was cry and hold them. He stayed by Diana all the time as she also became very emotional being a new mother.

Peter was so anxious that Diana had to give him several teas and bring the doctor over.

Oliver had his eyes and hair while Elsie was the spitting image of his Diana. They were his light and his life, and he would die for them if need be.

Once Peter managed to calm down he invited all of her friends over to celebrate the news. He wanted everyone to know how happy they were.

Of course, everyone wanted to see Madame Steele and Sir Steele realize their deepest desire. Because if there was a couple who deserved happiness it was them. The ones who burned to save others.

Maria was overjoyed at the news and so was Angel who now had a boy named Alexi Markuu Jr

Maria was overjoyed at the news and so was Angel who now had a boy named Alexi Markuu Jr. and a girl named Lily Rose.

Maria was a tad jealous she hoped that maybe she could give Ville a child, for she knew what that would mean to her, but to him well, she could only imagine what joy it would be for him to hold a child in his hands, his child.

However, his parents were home and they were not at all happy, as promised they were here to arrange a proper marriage to restore his wealth and dignity.

"We will never accept her into the family, for she almost got you killed, and it was due to her that that criminal took your money," his mother Auguste stated.

"Not to mention we know her true background, a whore can never be a lady no matter how many silks and jewels cover her body," his mother Rosemere added.

Maria held back the knot in her throat and stepped forth even as Ville wanted to defend her.

"This whore as you call me would never have broken her son's heart, and his mind sending him to an early grave with the actions you took against his ex-wife!" Maria cried.

Ville tried to interfere but she was relentless. "How dare you!" Rosemere said standing up.

"I dare and I will keep daring, daring to heal him from your poison, daring to make him have that which you made him lose, his soul, his smile, his passion for life!" Maria said adamantly.

"You can make no one happy unless it's in the bed, you can never be at my level, " Rosemere responded

"You can make no one happy unless it's in the bed, you can never be at my level, " Rosemere responded. "I don't want to be at your level, because if being at your level means having no heart, and no empathy for your own blood and flesh, I would rather be a whore for the rest of my life!" Maria said.

Rosemere looked at her with a hurt expression, struck speechless by her words, and almost slapped her before Maria held her hand, and pushed it away.

"You will respect me! I am whether you like it or not, the lady of this house, your son's chosen and I am the one in his heart," Maria replied. Rosemere stormed out and Auguste ran after her.

He walked to lead them out, and asked them to never come again, they promised to disinherit him and he encouraged them to, "I do not want money stained in blood," Ville said.

Auguste told him he was ashamed to call him a son and they left him there standing as if he was nothing.

William, who along with Louise had stuck with Ville ran to him comforting him. "They had it coming, either they stop looking down on others or they will die alone and empty," Louise said.

Maria pitied him, after all, they were his parents, his blood, and she was the intruder.

Ville sensed her worry and ran to her, "They are and will always be my parents, but you, you are my light and life, and either they accept you, or we start from scratch on our own, I have some money left, and if you let me..." he said.

Maria jumped wrapping her legs around his hips and kissing him.

"We will get through this together!" she said, and he knew that if she was here they would.
