Chapter III - Her Hatred

3rd Person POV

The death of the innocent female planted the seed of hatred, the source of all Herrschers. The seed sprouted, and grew wildly, taking over every last bit of hope and sanity. The 12th was awoken…

The Herrscher of corruption.

Right after the girl’s death, her abilities were activated. She finally snapped. The fearful yet cruel soldiers, who were assigned to guard her holding cell, killed her. The girl’s delicate body disintegrated into a gust of lethal black mist, containing powerful honkai energy. The mist infected the soldiers who were cheering and gleaming in joy in front of her cell, proceeding to zombify them. The zombies became her puppets, attacking every living human being nearby. 

However, the base didn’t stand still motionless. They quickly deployed counter measures. 
The last zombie was terminated at Control Hub F-23, 15 minutes after the outbreak. Yet, this was only the beginning.

It took the herrscher only 1 minute to hack into every single existent computer in the base. The true form of the 12th was revealed: A hyper-contagious and sentient viral and memetic entity, capable of infecting humans, animals, or any form of processor or logic system. The entity seethed with the girl’s hatred. It carried out her desire for vengeance. 

The base kept an arsenal of 300 nuclear weapons to deal with a potential Herrscher attack, as the humans have had enough of xthe destruction caused by the past 11 Herrschers. The Herrscher fired them all at the last 3 cities of the world. Those 3 cities were gone in the blink of an eye, leaving behind nothing but sand and dust.

A total of 31022 people survived in the base, becoming the only survivors of this attack. The entity then used the base systems to lockdown every single existent exit of the base.

"Vile Humans! You won’t let me leave, so I’m not gonna let you escape either. You will never escape this dark tomb you built for me!"

But Dr. Mei never gave up. She linked her core consciousness to the last uninfected system to the base. The Herrscher took the bait. Mei then disconnected the “Black Box”. The Herrscher was trapped within.

Dr. Mei decided to make the 12th Herrscher into a divine key as well.

But the 12th Herrscher refused to be subdued.

The 12th Divine Key remains incomplete, even after the destruction of most of the human civilization, caused by the Last Herrscher. The Small yet powerful black box became the new prison for the Herrscher of corruption. She was unaware of how many years had she be imprisoned in the Box. Pure Hatred was what remained in her heart.
