Is It Meant To Be?

Chapter 5

Theo POV

"girls are so weird. They were screaming and laughing and next thing we know they cry to the core of their hearts." Jai sighs.

"what happened?" I laugh.

"the girls were screaming, I though something bad happened but they said that they were telling 'an exciting story', I was worried for a while there." he lies his head on his pillow.

I wonder what the girls are talking about.

"Jai do you know the feeling when you're in love?" okay I just realized that it sounded so cheesy.

"wow, I love Gemma. With all my heart bro. She is my everything." he said.

"I love Shai." I said it bluntly.

"what?!" he got up from his bed.

"I'm not certainty sure that I'm in love with her or is it just nothing." I frown. "I love Ruth, maybe I were. I mean I don't feel the same way anymore, we rarely talk nor meet. Sometimes I felt like she already has some other guy on her arms,  but I don't know."

"you're in love with a co-star?" he laughs. "well, if you felt that way, maybe you need to reassure yourself. Meet with Ruth, and if you still thinking about Shai, then my friend I think you should chase that sweet girl Shai." he smiles and lies on his bed again.

"good idea Jai. Thanks." I said.

I starts falling asleep but I couldn't take Shai outta my mind. This feeling, is it real?

I wake up the next day at 5 am. I take a shower and headed downstairs, but Shai is already there.

Shai POV

"good morning Theo." I greet him. "since we're having a picnic, I might as well make us some food." I smile at him.

"haha I was going to do it but I think you're a better cook than I am." he laughs.

Theo helps me preparing the food.

"we should go before the sun rises." Theo grabs my hand and lead me to the kitchen door where it's paths lead to the beach.

He spread the blanket on the sand. We sat there with a blanket covering us.

"It's beautiful." I said to Theo with amazement, the sun is starting to rise.

"you're beautiful." i kind of surprised by what Theo just said. I look at his eyes. Suddenly he kisses me.

I pull myself, he looks like he regretted what he just did.

"I'm sorry Shai, I shouldn't have done that. Oh my god I'm such a fool." he frowns.

"no Theo it's okay." I rest my head on his shoulder.

I think to myself, if only you're mine.

Theo POV

What I did is just stupid.  What makes me think that a girl like Shai would like a guy like me?

Someone's knocking on the door.  Us five are just sitting in the living room watching a movie, Taken. 

"I'll get it." Ansel rises from the couch.

He opens the door and stands there for a while. "Theo! It's Ruth. I almost didn't recognize her with a brunette hair."

I forgot that Ruth is coming today, I'm a mess.

I run to the door.

"hi baby." Ruth kisses me.

I let her in and introduce her to my friends, but I don't see Zoe and Shai. Maybe they were upstairs.

"This is Ruth." I hesitate, "my ummm... My girlfriend."

"hi everybody, nice to meet you." she smiles widely.

But I can see that Miles and Jai staring at her the way they don't used to. Oh god.

"if it's okay for you guys, I'll be staying here for a few nights." she flips her brunette hair.

My friends are just nodding but i think they hesitated.

"I'll take you to your room. " I grab her luggage upstairs.

"that is my room with Jai, that is Shai and Zoe's and that is Miles and Ansel's." I pointed at the bedrooms. "and you'll be staying here."

"why can't I stay with you?" she put on her puppy eyes look.

"Because Jai is my roomate and i think it would be awkward with the three of us staying in the same room, won't it?" I lift her chin up, "I'll come to your room." I kiss her on her cheek.

"okay then. " she smiles in excitement,"oh about my hair, the designer made us models colored our hair brown so it would match the outfits. Don't worry it would wear off." she jumps to the bed.

"It's alright, you look beautiful either way. I'll be right back, in the mean time you could take a shower. " I walk out of the room.

Shai POV

" I don't know why am I so stupid. How can a guy like Theo likes me, right?" I sob onto Zoe's shoulder.

"oh no honey,  Theo is just stupid. He didn't see how beautiful you are." Zoe's trying to comfort me.

"yeah but his girlfriend are so much better than me." I cry louder.

Miles enter the room and hugs me instantly.

"Theo is so stupid." he said.

"how do you know?" I said still sobbing.

"know what? That you're in love with Theo? Of course! I'm your best friend for God sake, how can't I not know when my best friend is in love."

"I'm Shai's best friend!" Zoe shouts at Miles.

"Shut up Zoe, I'm trying to comfort her." he rolls his eyes.

"it's fine guys, let's just drop this Theo's thing and let's go have a nice lunch." I smile with my red eyes and wet cheeks. Zoe and Miles just nodded.

I went downstairs and when I look up, I see Zoe slaps Theo and yell jerk to his face. Theo looks confuse.

"come on let's leave" Zoe pull me outside.

Theo POV

"Well, what is wrong with you mate?!" Jai raises an eyebrow.

"what?"

"you just made a woman who smiles the brightest cry."

"Shai? She cried? No wonder Zoe slapped me."

"well you deserves it. I might as well give you one." he rolls his eye.

"I'm sorry I didn't know." I frown.
